Post makes clear why the Biden regime should NOT fly BLM flags at embassies on Juneteenth

We’ve learned that US consulates and embassies around the world, buckling under political pressure from the higher-ups in the Biden State Department, will now fly “Black Lives Matter” flags in honor of the brand-new Juneteenth federal holiday over the weekend.

You read that correctly: the federal government will be flying the ensign of a radical leftist organization—which decidedly does not represent the interests of all Americans—at taxpayer-funded properties around the world. It’s apparently no longer enough to fly Old Glory; now it has to compete with the flags of various subsets of the populace. The balkanization of the country is well on its way to completion.

It’s also nothing new. The US embassy in Kabul famously tweeted a picture of the rainbow “Pride” flag last June—just a few months before the Taliban retook their country and chased the American military out of Central Asia.

Now the New York Post editorial board is weighing in with an opinion piece that castigates the Biden administration for flying Leftist political flags at embassies around the world.

For one thing, it’s illegal.

“It’s a blatant violation of the Hatch Act, which forbids government employees from engaging in most political activism,” the opinion piece reads. “Plus, the only flags it’s legal to fly at these facilities are Old Glory and the host nation’s, plus the Foreign Service flag and the POW/MIA flag.”

Of course, why should the Biden regime be concerned with pesky legalities? After all, the illegality of unlawful border crossings hasn’t stopped Biden from inviting more in, adding at least a million more illegal immigrants to the country last year alone.

The Post’s opinion article then quoted Dave Seminara at City Journal, who wrote that the State Department explains away its flag-waving by saying it “[shows] our dedication to democratic principles, justice, and racial equity.” That’s demonstrably false: “They endorse a political movement (and a dodgy charity) that’s out of step with the broad American public.”

“Support for Black Lives Matter never topped 50% even in the days after the George Floyd killing,” the Post observed, “in part because the slogan offensively implies widespread denial of a clear truth. By May of this year, support had dropped to a measly 31%—and even that’s surely largely for the benign-enough sentiment, not the movement’s extremist agenda, from defund-the-police to frank Marxism and even opposition to the nuclear family.”

The piece also suggests that the widespread riots carried out under the BLM banner—whose black-and-white color scheme bears more than a passing resemblance to the infamous Jolly Roger when seen from afar—and led to such financial and human devastation during the summer of 2020 have done little to increase the organization’s popularity. And that doesn’t even include the numerous scandals the BLM Global Network Foundation has accrued, from the $6 million LA mansion to shady financial transactions.

“Congress—and the courts—need to stomp on this blatant violation of federal law in the service of woke idiocy,” the editorial concludes.

Don’t hold your breath. “Woke idiocy” is fast becoming the default substitute for federal law in Biden’s America.

  1. There is no such thing as a “juneteenth”. Just another moronic attempt by ignorant negros to screw up the world. Just like their stupidity with the fake “holiday” of “kwanzaa”. Even the name, “juneteenth” is an example of illiterate gibberish. Sunday, June 19th, is Father’s Day, a true and meaningful celebration to everyone except blacks, who have never accepted the responsibilities of fatherhood.

  5. There is no such thing as “juneteenth”. It’s just another ignorant wailing for attention by negros like the fake negro holiday of “kwanza”. June 19th, 2022 is Father’s Day, a holiday that means something to most people except negros.

  6. Joe Biden left the Taliban 10 billion of our best military equipment after we spent 80 billion over 20 years fighting them and then they fly the “gay pride” flag over our embassy. First, it’s illegal. Secondly, it disgusting and embarrassing to our country and especially to anyone who has fought and died for what should be our sacred banner. As for the BLM flag it’s also disgusting and embarrassing and ignorant. It’s unbelievable that so many people (especially in our government) don’t know that the founders of BLM are nothing but race baiting grifters who stole tens of millions and are openly anti-family, anti-Christian, and avowed Marxists. The Chinese and Russians must be rolling on the floor laughing at our self-destructive stupidity.
