Biden admin dragged feet on baby formula: If supply of ‘erectile dysfunction pills were at risk … ‘

Former Joe Biden fangirl Meghan McCain is calling out the federal government, particularly the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, for what she considers its shameful, disgraceful, and possibly sexist failure to take action amidst a nationwide baby formula shortage.

“Nothing but sheer incompetence, laziness and ineptitude are to blame for mothers in America now being petrified that they will be unable to feed their babies. Shame on our country, shame on our government, shame on our lawmakers and absolutely shame on the FDA,” McCain wrote in her Daily Mail column.

Instead of the federal foot-dragging, “President Biden and his administration need to be exhausting every possible effort to address this immediately. Fix it now or this will not only be a permanent disgrace to your legacy but the legacy of our country as well,” she concluded.

Essential baby formula missing from store shelves all across the country comes as the U.S. House just voted to send an additional $40 billion of taxpayer dollars to Ukraine, with 57 America First Republicans voting no on the appropriation.

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) was one of the lawmakers who castigated Congress for extravagant Ukraine spending while “there is no formula for American babies and mothers.”

McCain, a Never Trumper who is the mom of a toddler, also implied that sexism was part of the problem.

“I find it hard to believe that if there was a whistleblower warning about a factory making defective Cialis or anything having to do with erectile dysfunction issues it would not have taken this long for the FDA to act or for Americans to be alerted,” she noted.

Earlier in her article, the daughter of the late U.S. senator from Arizona John McCain alluded to the February FDA shutdown of a Michigan formula manufacturer and recalled three brands over potential bacteria infections, which was allegedly prompted by a whistleblower complaint.

“Maybe the supply chain issues were unavoidable, and the FDA recall was obviously justified, but the government response to this crisis is totally pathetic,” the ex-co-host of “The View” declared. “The recall coupled with supply chain issues should have raised concerns over a shortage and a plan should have been put in place to address it before it became a crisis.”

“For some reason, women and young children’s issues continue to be treated as something that can be put on the backburner. Why didn’t our federal agencies and policymakers treat this as a priority?” McCain wondered

In a previous column, McCain blasted Biden for accusing the “MAGA crowd'” of unprecedented extremism, which was obviously part of the Democrat election-cycle messaging after the leaked draft Supreme Court opinion that would, if it is ever finalized, reverse the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion-rights decision.

Biden went on to say, without evidence, that this decision could be a harbinger of a rollback of other rights. “In one of the most irresponsible examples of intentionally divisive rhetoric that I’ve ever heard uttered by a president, Biden mused about the future,” McCain noted about the latter.

McCain recalled that when Biden took office, he pledged unity. “I was lied to and so were you. President Biden lied to all of us and I feel like an idiot for believing anything he said in that speech.”

“I know real pro-life Americans. I am a pro-life American. And I am NOT in the MAGA crowd. In fact, Biden himself was against the Roe decision for at least a decade,” she also wrote, in part. “I don’t know if it hasn’t occurred to the snobs and sycophants advising our President, but you must stop demonizing half the country even as you claim to be about unity and civility.”

In the meantime, Meghan McCain’s memoir, which is called “Bad Republican,” reportedly sold less than 300 copies in its first week of availability in hardcover form.
