The gloat fest over CNN+ becoming the sinking Titanic of leftist media continued for a second day on Friday as Fox News hosts Greg Gutfeld and Tucker Carlson skewered former Fox anchor Chris Wallace for jumping ship to the new streaming network only to find himself out of a job, at least temporarily.

Gutfeld has been on a tear, gleefully mocking Wallace at every opportunity for quitting Fox News. Wallace reportedly left because he didn’t like the opinions of other hosts on the network.

Carlson appeared on “The Five” to promote an upcoming episode from his “Originals” series and was drawn into mocking Wallace by Gutfeld.

“Hey Tucker, I’ve got two questions for you,” Gutfeld started off. “Number one, quite obviously you’re on Fox Nation. This is a special. Fox Nation is a streaming success. Now that CNN+ is defunct, has Fox Nation considered rehiring Chris Wallace for Fox Nation? We could probably get him at a discount. And I’ve seen that he interviews a lot of very interesting people?”

Carlson laughed while replying, “We had a meeting about it this morning in my office.”

“Oh really?” Gutfeld responded laughing as well.

“I was like, no. He just failed! And then one of my producers goes, ‘You know, he’s Mike Wallace’s son,’” Tucker chuckled.

Carlson had Fox Business panelist Charlie Gasparino on his show to discuss the calamitous and historic fall of CNN+ on Thursday. During his show, a chyron read, “Nobody signed up to watch Mike Wallace’s son.”

“I’m sure he’s very good at his job. I don’t watch him much. I didn’t watch him much when he was on our network,” Gasparino bluntly noted.

“I’m with you, man,” Carlson enthusiastically agreed.

Adding significant insult to injury, Fox News posted a clever graphic on Instagram and Twitter showing the ghosts of CNN+ hosts including Anderson Cooper, Brian Stelter, Jake Tapper, and of course, former Fox News anchor Chris Wallace. The ghosts are circling the apropos tombstone of CNN+.

The massive failure of the leftist streaming network after only 30 days was cause for celebration among conservative media outlets, especially Fox News, and they took full advantage of mocking CNN+ for it.

“CNN+ streaming service shutting down just weeks into launch after failing to attract viewers,” read the caption to the graphic taking a huge poke at the now-defunct service.

Adam Klotz, who is a meteorologist with Fox News, loved the graphic, calling it “the funniest thing this account has ever posted,” according to Mediaite.

Conservatives celebrated the epic failure of CNN+ as well, relentlessly mocking it:

But no one put it better or more succinctly than Fox Business anchor Dagen McDowell who quipped that the fall of CNN+ is “the final legacy of the fraud that was Jeff Zucker.”

“What a rolling calamity this is,” she noted. “Couldn’t happen to worse people than Jeff Zucker.”
