Not all Republicans enthusiastically embrace the catchphrase “Let’s go, Brandon!” including Sen. Roger Marshall who claims the phrase is disrespectful and should not be used while asserting that he doesn’t support that kind of language.

Conservatives tend to view such sentiments as being those of RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) who are too moderate and squeamish to stand up to Democrats and the overbearing Biden administration.

“I don’t think it’s very respectful and I wish it would stop,” Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) told HuffPost when he was asked about the “Let’s go, Brandon” phrase on Tuesday. “I don’t support that type of language.”

The phrase “Let’s go Brandon!” went massively viral after NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast disingenuously claimed on camera that the crowd at a NASCAR race was yelling “Let’s go, Brandon!” when they were actually chanting “F*** Joe Biden!” Video footage disproved her claim and the saying took off like a rocket across the nation.

The viral phrase is popping up in politics, merchandise, social media, music, memes, sporting events, and on and on and on. It’s become part of the American lexicon.

Although the overwhelming majority of Republicans love the phrase including former President Trump, Rep.Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), a number of moderates in the party find it too distasteful for their timid stances.

“I’m just not a fan of that,” Sen. John Thune (R-SD), who is the No. 2 Senate Republican, stated when asked about the meme.

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) asserted he’s “not inclined to participate” in the popular chant that is used to take a shot at Biden and the media.

Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN) stated that he understands why people are frustrated with Biden and his administration even if he doesn’t personally support using what he calls explicit language. He contends that the majority of Republicans would rather focus their messaging against the Biden administration on the economy and foreign policy. However, that really doesn’t seem to be the case in mainstream politics these days.

“Regardless of what you think of style or delivery, there’s a lot to be frustrated with,” Braun commented concerning Biden’s policies. “I’m one that’s more for less histrionics and more solutions, but I see why people are frustrated.”

When asked about the chant, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) remarked, “So much of what’s happening today, I just let it roll off my back. You just can’t engage with everything that’s going on and maintain your sanity.”

But Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) urged Democrats to take note, “I think it’s nice of NBC to provide this cleaner family-friendly way to express disdain for the current president, which is more than I can say for liberals when Donald Trump was president,” he said. “I’d be very concerned if I were Democrats in seeing this is not some minor little expression. This has caught on to be an illustration of how frustrated Americans are of this administration.”

The phrase is everywhere and just keeps on growing in popularity:
