Porn star Stormy Daniels says she’d run for president of the United States only if her disgraced lawyer, Michael Avenatti, does. And that’s only so she could act as a spoiler to ruin his bid.
“If he decides to run, I’m going to run just so I can start a GoFundMe for the sheer purpose of making smear campaign videos against him,” Daniels told the Daily Beast. “Just for fun. I bet people would actually be into it.”
Daniels recently axed Avenatti as her attorney amid a series of stunning mishaps, including one in October 2018, when a California federal court dismissed her defamation lawsuit against President Trump and ordered her to pay Trump’s legal fees (totaling $293,052).
That was a humiliating defeat for her then-attorney, Avenatti.
In November 2018, Daniels also accused Avenatti of raising a windfall of cash through a crowdfunding account he launched using her name without her permission.
Avenatti is now embroiled in a mountain of legal problems after other clients accused him of stealing their money.
Looking back, Stormy Daniels says she doesn’t regret having hired Avenatti, but she regrets having trusted him. “He just went off the rails,” Daniels said.
When asked who she supports in the 2020 race, Daniels said she hasn’t made up her mind, but her current favorite is Democratic socialist Elizabeth Warren.
“If I had to pick somebody right now, I would probably say Elizabeth Warren,” Daniels said. “I’m always really hesitant to say because I don’t know if me saying something helps or hurts the person.”
For now, Daniels is lying low (no pun intended), but is preparing to be thrust into the headlines again as the Democratic Party ratchets up its impeachment rhetoric in a bid to hurt Trump’s re-election bid.
As BizPac Review reported, Democrat Jerry Nadler — the chair of the House Judiciary Committee — is reviving Daniels’ “hush-money payments” narrative.
Nadler plans to launch another investigation — this time into Trump’s alleged role in paying “hush money” to silence Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal.
Democrats claim that Trump’s then-lawyer, Michael Cohen, had paid hush money to Daniels and McDougal in 2016 to stay quiet about their alleged one-night stands with Trump in 2006 (10 years before he entered politics).

Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz has called the manufactured media hysteria much ado about nothing. Dershowitz is a lifelong liberal who voted for Hillary Clinton.
Dershowitz even suggested that Daniels should be prosecuted for extortion for demanding payment over the alleged one-night stand she had with Trump in 2006.
“It is absolutely textbook extortion,” Dershowitz said in December 2018. “There ought to be a prosecution of any person — man or woman — who approaches any candidate or anybody else and says, ‘Unless you pay me money, I’m going to reveal a sex act that occurred.’ That is absolute classic extortion.”

Meanwhile, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi — the leader of the Democratic Party — has repeatedly warned Dems to stop screeching about impeachment, saying it’s alienating millions of centrist Americans.
Pelosi expressed concern that if Democrats keep beating the impeachment drums, voters will punish them by voting Democrats out of office in 2020. This is what happened to Republicans in 2000 amid their impeachment proceedings against Democratic President Bill Clinton.
