You can tell that Election Day is practically around the corner because things are getting a little bit more contentious on cable news.
Former Trump advisor Mercedes Schlapp wasn’t having it when an ex-Biden operative kept interrupting her when the topic was how the incumbent president vs. his immediate predecessor interacted with the media.
On Thursday, Fox News host Harris Faulkner introduced that portion of the discussion on her show by noting that “the president and the press have what you might call a complex relationship. Critics now calling Biden out for apparently making fun of reporters for doing their jobs.”

The gaffe-prone Biden, whose handlers keep him on a leash as Faulkner’s FNC colleague Jesse Watters has implied, appeared to mouth “blah, blah, blah” when shouting reporters were trying to get his attention.
This is nonetheless a liberal corporate media cohort that is predisposed to back Biden, and all the Democrats generally, on most issues.
“That’s not right,” Faulkner told Democrat strategist Kevin Walling about Biden’s behavior in the video clip embedded above.
Walling immediately pivoted to whataboutism.
“Compared to the last guy who openly mocked the press corps, the White House press corps. And again, I think it is a bizarre situation that we always find ourselves in especially with these bilaterals with foreign heads of state in the Oval Office, with reporters screaming at them. They screamed at Ronald Reagan about Iran-Contra, they screamed about Donald Trump. They obviously want to get a question in edgewise. And it is a bizarre visual. Mercedes was in the White House and ran those kind of events. And it is kind of a silly thing that the press corps does, yelling at foreign heads of state and the president in the Oval Office,” Biden apologist Walling whined.

“Kevin, you can’t defend this. Kevin, I’m so sorry. President Trump answered question after question from the press corps. And let’s remember this press corps that was very negative and always trying to take down President Trump. But let me make this very clear: President Biden, he won’t even speak to the press,” Schlapp declared.
“The only person he’s talking to is like to a TikTok social influencer, social media influencer, who supports child mutilation,” she added.
As Walling rudely tried to talk over her, Schlapp said “I don’t want to hear it. The American people deserve to learn what President Biden actually thinks if he can actually answer a basic question from the media corps — he won’t do it.”
As Schlapp recalled, on almost a daily basis, Donald Trump responded to questions from mostly hostile journalists in formal pressers, on the White House lawn on his way to the helicopter, and in various other settings.
Faulkner punctuated the discussion by recalling that “Kevin, I do remind you that President Biden has called one of our own reporters a stupid SOB, And then he’s done more. He’s got a bit of a potty mouth, and he’s got a little bit of sore spot with those who like to ask him questions.”
The panel began the segment with an analysis of the midterm contest between the Republicans and Democrats, and where, if anywhere, the unpopular Biden and his equally unpopular VP intend to campaign. “I really don’t think Biden or Kamala [Harris] bring anything to the table,” Schlapp opined.
They also discussed the dismal performance of some Dems in recent debates, those Dems who haven’t ducked debates, that is.
The Democrats are “playing defense” on all the major issues, including the cost-of-living crisis owing to Bidenflation, Schlapp insisted. “They have no message, and they keep shifting their message because they’re losing.”
