Morton’s Steakhouse condemns pro-abortion protesters after Justice Kavanaugh forced to escape via backdoor

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is in danger no matter where he goes these days because he voted to overturn Roe v. Wade, prompting leftist loons to chase him from dining establishments, earning a stern rebuke from a famous steakhouse.

The latest incident occurred Wednesday evening when Kavanaugh was dining at Morton’s Steakhouse in downtown Washington, DC. He was harassed by pro-abortion protesters and was forced to exit out the back of the restaurant, according to Politico.

The media outlet reported that Kavanaugh “was dining at Morton’s downtown D.C. location” as “protesters soon showed up out front, called the manager to tell him to kick Kavanaugh out, and later tweeted that the justice was forced to exit through the rear of the restaurant.” They were evidently given a tip that the justice was having dinner there.

“We hear Kavanaugh snuck out the back with his security detail. @mortons should be ashamed for welcoming a man who so clearly hates women,” tweeted the violent and radical protest group ShutDownDC.

Kavanaugh reportedly finished his dinner but skipped dessert before slipping out the back. He did not come into contact with any of the protesters.

“While the court had no official comment on Kavanaugh’s behalf and a person familiar with the situation said he did not hear or see the protesters and ate a full meal but left before dessert, Morton’s was outraged about the incident,” Politico reported.

“A rep for the chain steakhouse sent [Politico reporter Daniel] Lippman this statement: ‘Honorable Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh and all of our other patrons at the restaurant were unduly harassed by unruly protestors while eating dinner at our Morton’s restaurant. Politics, regardless of your side or views, should not trample the freedom at play of the right to congregate and eat dinner. There is a time and place for everything. Disturbing the dinner of all of our customers was an act of selfishness and void of decency,’” the statement continued.

In June, an unhinged man from California traveled to the justice’s home, intent on assassinating him. He did not follow through with the plot, however, calling 911 on himself and claiming he needed “psychiatric help.”

The left has been notably silent concerning the threat to Kavanaugh’s life. Congress passed a bill enhancing security for the justices following the incident. It appears that it falls short when it comes to threats against Supreme Court justices. The restaurant confrontation could have gone very bad, very fast but fortunately, Kavanaugh’s security detail was able to get him out of there before any violence occurred.

The Supreme Court’s chief security official, Gail Curley, has requested that Maryland’s governor enforce a ban on picketing outside the homes of the justices, asserting that threats against them have greatly increased. Kavanaugh’s home is in Maryland.

In the statement asking for additional security, Curley mentioned Kavanaugh’s would-be assassin near his home. He pointed out that the man was carrying a handgun, a knife, and pepper spray. The man freely admitted that he was there to kill the Supreme Court justice for overturning the landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade and for not imposing gun control.
