‘Pasta, pasta!’ Alec Baldwin proves comedy is not dead when he yells at staffer in Spanish

Alec Baldwin ripped for yelling at employee in Spanish during Woody Allen interview: ‘And they said comedy was dead!’

Alec Baldwin is being mocked once again, this time concerning a chaotic Instagram live interview with controversial filmmaker Woody Allen where he yelled at an employee in bastardized Spanish over his dogs.

The incident took place on Tuesday. The interview on Instagram was already having serious issues with Baldwin’s Wi-Fi cutting in and out, dropping Allen a number of times.

At one point as the interview froze in mid-sentence with Allen, Baldwin evidently got off his couch and started yelling at someone in the other room in Spanish. The rant was later translated as Baldwin telling an employee to stop the dogs from barking.

“Leonetta! Leonetta! Basta! Las perritas! Basta! Las perritas, sufficiente!” Baldwin angrily shouted, which reportedly translates to “Leonetta! Leonetta! Enough! The dogs! Enough. The dogs, that’s enough!”

People watching the live event were both confused and amused by Baldwin’s actions during the interview. Those who speak Spanish asserted that they had a hard time understanding exactly what the actor was saying.

“Inexplicably interviewing Woody Allen on Instagram Live, watching as Woody loses Wi-Fi, and then getting up to yell something in Spanish that I a native Spanish speaker can’t understand has surpassed Schweddy Balls as the new funniest thing Alec Baldwin has ever done. God tier,” Spanish-speaking comedy writer Alexis Pereira snarked on Twitter.

Another commenter tweeted, “I think he said pasta pasta I didn’t get enough meatballs in my pasta I don’t think he knows Spanish at all.”

“I was morbidly curious about this, so I put it on in time to see Alec Baldwin yelling at his housekeeper in Spanish to fix Woody Allen’s wi-fi connection,” journalist Matt Jacobs chimed in.

“Why is this interview happening, and why is Alec wearing a visor for it,” Jezebel Editor-in-Chief Laura Bassett tweeted.

While one person commented that the interview was cursed, another kidded, “And they said comedy was dead!!!!!”

Other viewers were incensed that Baldwin didn’t enable comments on the live stream.

When Baldwin first announced that he would be interviewing Allen, he told everyone that he had “ZERO INTEREST in anyone’s judgments and sanctimonious posts here,” according to the Independent.

“If you believe that a trial should be conducted by way of an HBO documentary, that’s your issue,” he stated.

The actor was heavily criticized for interviewing Allen, who has been accused of sexual abuse and marrying his stepdaughter Soon-Yi Previn. Many could not wrap their heads around the sketchy interview when Baldwin is still under investigation after the accidental shooting of his late “Rust” videographer Halyna Hutchins in October of last year.

“Like Baldwin’s career isn’t already hanging by a thread. What a dumb way to completely destroy it,” asserted one commenter before the live stream aired.

“Remember when Alec Baldwin literally killed a crew member on a set last year, faced zero repercussions, and is now … promoting a special interview he’s doing with … Woody Allen?” another pointed out. “That’s literally all you need to know about the film & TV industry.”

During the interview, Allen suggested that he is planning on ending his decades-long directing career.

“A lot of the thrill is gone,” he claimed. “It’s not the same … It’s not as enjoyable to me.”
