Report of lavish pre-verdict Johnny Depp bash with Kate Moss shot down; actor did jam with Jeff Beck

Actor Johnny Depp has had good reason for celebration after a jury delivered him a huge win in this defamation lawsuit trial against embittered ex-wife Amber Heard and he has been partying across the pond although reports that he had booked a UK venue for a pre-verdict victory bash have been shot down.

The 58-year-old artist whose decades-long movie career has included a number of memorable performances, perhaps none more so than his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise has been jamming with legendary guitar player Jeff Beck but was not throwing a lavish party at a British hotspot.

According to the New York Post, sources said that Depp had not shelled out hundreds of thousands of dollars to book the Notting Hill venue Laylow as was reported by the Daily Mail.

“On Tuesday night, hours before the vicious libel battle with ex-wife Amber Heard drew to a dramatic finale, the Hollywood A-lister threw a lavish party in London that had all the hallmarks of a victory bash,” according to the Daily Mail. “Revellers at the exclusive members’ club Laylow in trendy Notting Hill – including Depp’s star witness, supermodel Kate Moss – racked up a bill thought to be in the region of £250,000 as drinking and dancing to ‘really hard techno’ continued until 5am.”

“The venue was booked in case anyone wanted to do something but was canceled,” a source told the New York Post, which reported that the outlet “has seen emails showing the event was cancelled before it ever took place.”

The story has since been taken down by the Daily Mail.

Depp, who wasn’t present when the jury handed down its unanimous verdict in a Fairfax County, Virginia court, awarding him over $10 million in damages after an ugly affair where the couple’s dirty laundry publicly, a grateful Deep said “the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.”

The actor joined Jeff Beck onstage for the final stops on the former Yardbirds guitarist’s UK tour, jamming on rhythm guitar and singing on a number of classic rock hits including the Beatles’ “Paperback Writer” and Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” during a Friday night gig in Glasgow, Scotland.

Adoring fans swarmed the actor at his Glasgow hotel.

Beck also joined the 77-year-old rock and roll legend over Memorial Day weekend during a Sheffield gig, a surprise appearance that delighted the crowd.

Beck also broke the news that the two had made an album which is coming out soon.

“I’m gonna take this opportunity and tell you I met this guy five years ago, and we’ve never stopped laughing since. We actually made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It will be out in July,” the guitar god told the crowd during a Thursday show at the Sage Gateshead.

Depp who on a previous trip to Scotland mused about assassinating former President Donald J. Trump has been vindicated after Heard’s allegations that he physically abused her in a Washington Post op-ed trashed his reputation, costing him several movie roles, most notably being dumped by Disney for future “Pirates of the Caribbean” sequels although fans have been clamoring for the groomer-friendly entertainment colossus to reverse its decision.

Depp’s career has spanned nearly five decades and has featured starring roles in both box office smashes as well as lesser movies including “Edward Scissorhands,” “Donnie Brasco,” “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” and “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” the film version of the famed Hunter S. Thompson counterculture novel in which he played the drug-gobbling “Gonzo” journalist.

He also had roles as infamous Boston gangster Whitey Bulger in “Black Mass,” Ichabod Crane in “Sleepy Hollow” and of course, Captain Jack Sparrow.
