Texas Sheriff’s Deputy Felix Rubio was crushed by grief and held on to his wife as he was told his ten-year-old daughter Lexi was among the victims at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas after a murderous psychopath went on a killing spree taking the lives of 19 children and two teachers Tuesday.

Rubio was seen holding on to his wife Kimberly for support after receiving the horrific news, according to pictures taken by the Daily Mail. His grief was on full display as the distraught father tried to comfort his wife. Her death occurred just hours after he had posed with his daughter as she was named to the honor roll at the school.

The last picture of Lexi alive was as she proudly received a certificate for making the honor roll. She was captured happily smiling with her parents for the last time before her life was taken by an evil killer named Salvador Ramos.

She made the All-A honor roll and won a good citizen award according to a post on Facebook by her mother, Kimberly Rubio.

The mother recounted her final moments with her daughter, “We told her we loved her and would pick her up after school. We had no idea this was goodbye.”

The deputy spoke to CNN as he fought back the tears and grief over his little girl’s death on Wednesday. He reportedly called for gun control measures to prevent any other parents from going through what he is now experiencing with his wife.

“All I can hope is that she’s just not a number. This is enough. No one else needs to go through this. We never needed to go through this, but we are,” the distraught father said.

“I’ve had enough with guns. I don’t want my daughter’s name to be just another name,” Rubio wept during the live interview with CNN.

He was asked by the opportunistic leftist media what issues he would like handled following the deadly shooting and responded, “Violence, guns. I’m a cop. I’m a deputy here in Uvalde County. This is enough.”

Later, Lexi’s parents told CNN that their daughter was “kind, sweet, and appreciated life. She was going to be an all-star in softball and had a bright future whether it’s sports or academic. Please let the world know we miss our baby.”

Texas Governor Gregg Abbott confirmed that a sheriff’s deputy had lost a child at Robb Elementary School during a press conference that took place following the massacre.

“The entire community is in utter shock about this,” Abbott commented. “Some physical wounds that were sustained by the officers — they’re going to heal in the coming days. The mental and emotional wounds are far harder to see and last far longer.”

Lexi’s aunt has set up a GoFundMe page in honor of her niece’s tragic death and to help her grieving parents.
