Twitter engineer admits censorship against ‘tolerant’ right-wing in undercover sting: ‘We’re all commie as f**k’

Project Veritas fully exposed Twitter in an undercover interview with a senior engineer who outed the platform’s strong left-wing bias, how Tesla CEO Elon Musk is hated and feared, and how the company “does not believe in free speech,” censoring those politically on the right but not the left.

Just when you think that Twitter’s image could not be damaged any further, an undercover exposé dropped from Project Veritas. Senior Engineer Siru Murugesan was recorded discussing the company’s culture. He noted that employees are “commie as f***” and that they “hate, hate, hate” Elon Musk’s takeover of the social media platform.

“They hate it,” he said. “Oh my God. I’m at least like okay with it. But some of my colleagues are like super left, left, left, left, left.”

When asked how his co-workers responded to Musk’s buyout, Murugesan responded, “They’re like, ‘this would be my last day if this happens.'”

During a number of meetings, Murugesan was brutally frank about the atmosphere and political leanings at the company. He asserted that “Twitter does not believe in free speech… Elon believes in free speech.” The company evidently tends to convert employees to its left-wing bias upon hiring them and the engineer found himself beginning to lean that way under pressure when he went to work there.

“I think it’s just like the environment, like you’re there and you become like this commie,” Murugesan stated.

“Ideologically, it does not make sense like, because we’re actually censoring the right and not the left,” he told the female undercover reporter from Project Veritas.

“So, everyone on the right-wing will be like, ‘bro, it’s okay to stay, just gotta tolerate it. The left will be like, no, I’m not gonna tolerate it. I need it censored or else I’m not gonna be on the platform,” he charged. “So, it does that on the right. It’s true. There is bias. It is what it is today.”

The interview comes as Musk is poised to complete his acquisition of the company by October or November at the latest unless something goes wrong concerning the deal. There is an excellent possibility that Musk will clean house and it is said he secured financing by telling the banks that he would ax many of the company’s employees. Management is already heading for the exits and the company has instituted a hiring freeze. Employees are reportedly terrified they will lose their jobs as the company changes hands.

“You know, our jobs are at stake,” the senior engineer stated when asked about being fearful for his job. “He’s a capitalist and we weren’t really operating as capitalists, more like very socialist. Like we’re all commie as f***.”

“Essentially like everyone gets to do whatever they want, no one really cares about like [operating expenses], like capitalists, they care about numbers or care about how to make the business more efficient,” Murugesan remarked.

“But in Twitter, it’s like mental health is everything, like if you are not feeling it, you can take a few days off. People have taken months off, they will come back. But you always like, like do your best at any time. And that’s the culture and you know we’ll run the business as much as possible. But at the same time, you know, like the profits weren’t a lot,” he commented.

“Capitalists would be like, ‘you gotta try to make profits or you’re out.’ A lot of people won’t survive in that culture,” he asserted.

The engineer then commented that the company “did all we could to like revolt against [Musk’s takeover]. A lot of employees were revolting against it.”

Musk is a self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist.” He has stated that he intends to restore the social media platform as a safe space for everyone to speak freely, so long as they do it legally. He’s also vowed to “defeat the spam bots” and “authenticate all humans” on Twitter. The tech billionaire is also saying that he will make some of Twitter’s algorithm code open source.

The SpaceX mogul is currently attempting to have the number of fake Twitter users verified by an outside source. Twitter claims that less than 5 percent of users are fake but that has to be verified for the purchase to go through. If it is more, and many contend that is probably the case, the price offered in the sale could very well drop. Musk said as much at a Miami conference, noting that a lower price wouldn’t be “out of the question.”
