Fox News host Jesse Watters cast a spotlight on the otherwise unremarkable President Biden, unpacking how the elites in Washington, D.C. have now determined that “Joe isn’t cool.”
Imagine a presidency full of D-list actors and completely devoid of any excitement. Welcome to what Politico calls, “a cardboard box presidency.”
Even the most liberal news outlets are lamenting that Biden is just too boring to captivate audiences. There’s only so much coverage you can publish of Joe staring at draperies while his administration fawns over ex-President Obama, and only so many sweet videos of an elderly gentleman eating ice cream while the world burns around him.
“Biden sucked the energy out of Washington,” Watters said in an apt description of this mundane and unremarkable presidency.
“Isn’t it precious that the D.C. power brokers who installed Joe Biden into the White House are now bitching he’s boring?” he asked during the monologue of “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Friday, citing a Politico piece published Thursday in which editor Michael Schaffer noted that Biden delivered on a promise to be boring.
“This is actually the biggest insult the media has ever spewed at President Biden, that Joe isn’t cool,” the Fox News host said. “For Washington, it doesn’t get any worse than that.
Left-leaning media outlets have no one else to blame but themselves for unimaginative and bland news coverage. If they truly reported on the news, there’s plenty going on to keep their audience enthralled. Inflation, Afghanistan, Ukraine, the Green New Deal, the Hunter Biden laptop, the president’s decline in mental health, his extensive but nonexistent career as a truck driver, and a nonstop flow of podium gaffes would keep these outlets busy if they were allowed to report on genuine newsworthy stories.
The mainstream media remains in full cover-up mode, however, limiting their ability to create news stories that are interesting and informative. They are clinging to the past, refusing to let go of the only thing that keeps Democrats united: an unreasonable hatred of former President Donald Trump.
Trump was the best thing that ever happened to the media. His tweets launched a thousand stories and single-handedly kept late-night TV talk show hosts employed. Biden, however, is as sensational as a rock.
For D.C., a city that “trades on status,” Watters points out, this is an unforgivable sin.
Conservatives aren’t the only ones counting down the days until November’s elections. Liberal news media organizations are doing the same.
“Biden is the worse thing to ever happen to these people,” Watters continued. “Not only is there no action, there’s no access. And, worst of all, there is no gossip. This town is so bored they are ready for a Republican president.”
Like or dislike the past administration, there is one thing as certain as Joe Biden’s afternoon nap: Trump was never boring.
Watters noted the disillusionment from the mainstream media and how Politico’s piece was “littered with some of the cruelest Beltway slights” against Biden. In the end, however, it seems Trump’s critics have effectively proven him right once again as they confirm the former president’s nickname for Biden.
“The Washington, D.C. political and media establishment just called the president ‘sleepy Joe.’ That’s where we are right now,” he concluded. “All I can say is we told you so.”
To put it in terms Biden himself would understand: the liberal news outlets are tired of vanilla ice cream.
It’s time to put spicy chili back on the menu.
