Democratic Party media shills continue to promote the false narrative of a “7-hour gap” in White House phone logs on January 6, 2021 that some claimed were due to former President Donald J. Trump using a burner phone to give orders to protesters who invaded the Capitol.
The latest scoop that the walls were once again closing in on the ex-POTUS was revealed in a Washington Post bombshell by reporter Bob Woodward and were immediately hyped as the new Watergate despite the inconvenient truth that the story was a total hoax that was shot down by none other than the virulently anti-Trump network CNN.
But presenting the truth to viewers isn’t the mission of the all-star team of conspiracy theorists and race baiters who ply their trade at MSNBC and host Tiffany Cross once again welcomed her top guest, race-obsessed crank Elie Mystal, to the “Cross Connection” on Saturday, where the two ignored the CNN report that dismissed Woodward’s story as bunk.
CNN Breaking: The 6 pages of WH switchboard logs for 1/6 are complete based on an official review of White House records, according to a source familiar with the matter. There are no missing pages & the 7 hour gap is likely explained by use of WH landlines & cell phones link👇🏻

Following some wishful chatter that Trump’s son-in-law and former top adviser Jared Kushner would spill the beans to Nancy Pelosi’s sham J6 committee, Cross turned to the “7-hour-gap” which she embellished as an “8-hour-gap” to open her conversation with the justice correspondent for the leftist The Nation, who is also hawking his new book Allow Me to Retort: A Black Guy’s Guide to the Constitution.
“Honestly, Elie, the ghetto president that they thought Obama would be is officially Donald Trump,” Cross said. “This dude is walking like he’s Bodie from ‘The Wire’ with burner phones and erasing phone records,” a reference to criminal character Bodie Broadus in the gritty HBO series about drug dealing and corruption in Democrat-controlled Baltimore.
“How are they able to do that? And who exactly would be the person to make these call logs disappear?” Cross asked, opening the door for Mystal’s conspiratorial yammering.
It mattered little to Cross and her animated guest that the story of the missing call log entries was nowhere near as sinister as Woodward had alleged and, according to CNN, there was a “less mysterious explanation” for the gap.
The “six pages of White House switchboard logs for January 6, 2021, are complete based on an official review of White House records,” according to CNN, citing anonymous sources and that “the January 6 log reflects Trump’s typical phone habits. He mainly placed calls through the switchboard when he was in the residence but rarely used it when he was in the Oval Office.”
Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald nailed it in a blistering series of tweets about more of the same fake news and innuendo peddled by the WaPo.
“The NEW WATERGATE!! — there’s a 7-hour gap in Trump’s WH phone records on January 6 — trended for days and was declared by liberals outlets from CNN to Slate to be the worst crime yet. It was ‘broken’ by CBS and the WashPost,” he wrote. “You’ll be shocked to know it was a total hoax.”

Later in the segment, Cross and Mystal joined many of fellow their Democrats who have mounted a pressure campaign on Attorney General Merrick Garland to move against Trump, his family and his associates in what would be an explosive escalation of the partisan political use of government power to take the front-runner of the opposition party for the 2024 nomination, something that he has so far been reluctant to do.
“It’s all on Merrick Garland,” Mystal said.
