Fox News host Jesse Watters had some interesting things to say about the alleged ties and lucrative business dealings contracted between the Biden family and certain Chinese enterprises.
On Thursday’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” the host took a deeper look at the Biden family’s business in China and suggested they were “greedy stooges for the communists.”
“The Biden family business in China began seriously in 2013, when Vice President Biden boarded Air Force Two destined for Beijing,” Watters began.
“So what was Hunter Biden doing on Air Force Two on an official overseas trip with the vice president?…Hunter was on a business trip, and Joe would be the one to open some doors. Hunter would arrange an introduction between his Chinese partner Jonathan Li and his dad, the vice president. The two shook hands, and Li later described it as a good social meeting, and it turned out to be a big break for the Bidens,” he continued.
“Ten days after the big guy met Hunter’s associate, Hunter was offered a fortune. Perfect timing. A 10 percent stake in a new Chinese company called Bohai Harvest, and the Chinese threw Hunter a board seat, which obviously Hunter deserved with all of his business experience,” Watters added. “Peter Schweizer reports the Chinese paid the vice president’s son $20 million. Had Hunter earned that? Nobody knows. But we know, don’t we?”

The remarks from the Fox News host follow in the wake of the sudden, if fitful, interest the mainstream media has begun to take in the infamous Hunter Biden “laptop from hell.” The New York Times, for instance, has finally admitted that the laptop is genuine, writing in a recent article: “[the] emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden…[t]he email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.”
In what might be the most cautious and circumspect investigation in the New York Times’ long and storied history, the admission comes some 17 months after the story broke in the pages of the New York Post, on the eve of the 2020 elections. At the time, mainstream outlets were unanimous in denouncing the laptop as an unsubtle instance of “Russian disinformation.”
“Fact-checkers” dismissed the story altogether, and a group of “intelligence officials” with dubious resumes and obvious partisan affiliations sent out a statement that echoed the disinformation line and supposedly lent it weight with their professional imprimatur.
But it’s better late than never, as they say. The Washington Post, predictably, has followed suit and on Wednesday admitted the authenticity of emails found on the laptop. Which is extraordinarily fortuitous timing, since some of these newly authenticated emails contain juicy details about a deal between the president’s son and the now-defunct Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC China Energy that was worth $5 million.
With a trove of incriminating evidence to work with in addition to the laptop emails, there’s newly-discovered evidence that Hunter Biden signed a $1 million legal retainer to represent Patrick Ho, an official with CEFC. And, according to a report in the New Yorker, Hunter received a 2.8-carat diamond, valued at $80,000, from CEFC’s chairman Ye Jianming.
It’s all very sordid and Watters wasn’t pulling his punches during his Thursday program.
“That’s when [Hunter Biden] was introduced to a Chinese energy conglomerate called CEFC in 2015, a company that serves as the arm to the Communist Party’s Belt and Road Initiative,” he told viewers.
“This initiative is a threat to American security and prosperity, and the Biden family was their lobbyist…It was a pretty lucrative business for the Bidens. Hunter and [his uncle] Jim raked in almost $4 million in just consulting fees,” Watters continued.
“What were they doing consulting a Chinese energy company controlled by the Chinese military? They were probably just greedy stooges for the communists,” he concluded.
