A downsized Round 2 of the Freedom Convoy is perhaps underway in Ottawa, Ontario, but the Canadian equivalent of FJB is apparently prohibited.
Ottawa police, who have been described as the equivalent of the Keystone Cops, have reportedly banned signs that criticize far-left, vindictive Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who previously had authorized the crackdown on the peaceful protesters with the temporary invocation of the Emergencies Act.
Rebel News publisher Ezra Levant shared a video of Ottawa cops waving some sort of document at protesters apparently indicating that ‘F—- Trudeau’ flags are no longer allowed in a country that previously honored freedom of speech.
“Ottawa Police — which the whole world now knows as the most corrupt, partisan and violent police force in Canada — now says it’s ‘illegal’ to have signs/flags that offend Trudeau and you’ll be arrested for waving them. Same rule that Putin has, actually,” Levant claimed.

Many have noted the irony of or lack of self-awareness by Trudeau, who has lamented authoritarianism in Russia and elsewhere.
Video has also surfaced in which climate-change advocate Trudeau said in public that he admired China’s dictatorship under the CCP.
Upon the November 2016 death of Fidel Castro, Cuba’s longtime communist dictator, Trudeau described “El Comandante” as “a controversial figure” but also “a larger than life leader who “made significant improvements to the education and healthcare of his island nation.”
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the country’s state-run media, covered Freedom Convoy 2.0.
Two very different demonstrations — one calling for an end to COVID-19 mandates, another demanding accountability after the recent occupation — took to the streets of downtown Ottawa Saturday. In front of Parliament Hill, hundreds of people took part in a ‘freedom protest,’ although the crowd was significantly smaller than the truck convoy demonstrations that drew in thousands of people last month…Saturday’s rally was about bringing peace, [demonstrator Alex] Major said. Flags opposing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were not allowed, he said…Some protesters later relocated to near the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre, holding signs that read ‘Free the Prisoners.’ Convoy leaders Tamara Lich and Pat King remain behind bars there after their arrests last month…

The CBC did acknowledge that Ontario and several other provinces are lifting COVID-19-related mandates.
The CBC also took note of anti-convoy counter-protesters who also showed up. “The marchers demanded police and all levels of government take responsibility for allowing the occupation to last as long as it did.”
Very reminiscent of how some far-left activists in this country react when asked to explain their views or specifically identify their demands, counter-protesters seemed unenthusiastic about answering questions from a Rebel News reporter on a public street.
Counter-protesters accused journalist Alexandra Lavoie of “harassment.”

Liberal Party Leader Trudeau, who benefitted from his family name because his father Pierre also served as PM, and has been described as a privileged trust-fund baby, is holding on to power in a parliamentary minority government only with the backing of the even-more leftist New Democratic Party.
