President Joe Biden finally surfaced from his Democratically-protected bunker to give his second-ever press conference on Wednesday that was meant to inspire confidence, but instead failed miserably and was widely panned as an utter disaster.
The top 5 moments of the press conference were simply gobsmacking. The two-hour, often meandering comments by Biden were nothing less than an epic dumpster fire.
1. Russia Invading Ukraine
At the top of the jaw-dropping Biden list of gaffes was his response over Russia. President Vladimir Putin has amassed thousands of troops at Ukraine’s border and Biden admitted he could invade at any moment. There has been a large-scale cyber attack already.
The president claimed that the U.S. will impose significant economic sanctions if Russia moves forward. He asserted that a “minor incursion” by the Russians would elicit a milder response from the U.S. than that of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. That seemed like an invitation to take Ukraine one piece at a time. He also lobbed out there for some reason that Ukraine would not join NATO any time soon.
Biden’s response was unclear and confusing. He seemed to suggest that Putin “has no choice” but to invade because he’s out of options.
He also appeared to insinuate that Putin would win, “The cost of going into Ukraine in terms of physical loss of life for the Russians — they’ll be able to prevail over time, but it’s going to be heavy.”

2. Biden’s Claim that he Overperformed During His First Year in Office
Then there was the laughable moment when Biden told reporters that he didn’t overpromise what he could accomplish in his first year in office, but instead, he has “outperformed” what everyone thought he was capable of doing.
“I didn’t overpromise, but I have probably outperformed what anybody thought would happen,” Biden said. “Can you think of any other president that’s done as much in one year? I don’t think there’s been much on any incoming president’s plate that’s been a bigger menu than the plate I had given to me. The fact of the matter is, we got a lot done.”
Yes, he has accomplished a lot. The highest inflation in 40 years, the failure of the supply chain and empty supermarket shelves, failure to handle the pandemic, a botched deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan, out-of-control spending, a massive influx of illegal immigrants, and the list goes on and on and on.
During his speech, Biden’s aides rushed to do damage control on a number of blunders as Biden crowed over his delusions of perceived success. But it didn’t work, the president was on a roll, unfortunately.

3. Biden’s Angry Outburst Towards a Reporter
Biden also lost his temper when a reporter asked him about his divisive comments in Atlanta, Georgia where he claimed that if you weren’t for the left’s voting rights bill, you were in the same camp as segregationists George Wallace, Bull Conner, and Jefferson Davis.
“Go back and read what I said!” Biden snapped at Real Clear Politics correspondent Phillip Wegmann after asking about his speech.
“Well, now that makes two presidents who have yelled at me—Trump and Biden,” Wegmann tweeted after the weird exchange.

4. Brushing Off of Fox News Reporter Peter Doocy
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy had the temerity to ask Biden, “Why are you trying so hard in your first year to pull the country so far to the left?”
Biden smirked and condescendingly replied that he wasn’t doing that and asserted that he didn’t know what Doocey considered “too far to the left.” Again, he brought up the pandemic, his infrastructure bill, and the middle class in a non-answer.
He did contend that he’s not a socialist but a mainstream Democrat and that he wasn’t Bernie Sanders. He ended the bizarre exchange by stating that 48 of the 50 Democrats in the Senate have supported him on everything he’s asked for, which did not answer the question in any meaningful way.

5. Question About Biden’s Mental Health
The cherry on the top of the crazy cake was when Newsmax’s James Rosen broached the subject of Biden’s mental fitness, saying, “A poll released, this morning, by Politico/Morning Consult, found 49 percent of registered voters disagreeing with the statement, ‘Joe Biden is mentally fit.'”
“Not even a majority of Democrats who responded strongly affirmed that statement,” Rosen pointed out.
Biden laughed and replied, “Well, I’ll let you all make the judgment whether they’re correct. Thank you.”
Rosen wasn’t quite finished, “Well, so, the question I have for you, sir, before — if you’d let me finish — is: Why do you suppose such large segments of the American electorate have come to harbor such profound concerns about your cognitive fitness? Thank you.”
“I have no idea,” the President lamely replied.
His response did not engender confidence or alleviate concerns from most of America about Biden’s mental health. His long-winded, incomprehensible speech did not help matters either.
