On Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday, host Tucker Carlson presented newly-discovered audio of CNN’s Brian Stelter explaining that he recently had to fire the family nanny for refusing to get vaccinated.
Stelter in his own words, which can be heard on the accompanying video above:
Me and my wife both work full-time, we both make enough money to have a nanny during the day in New York, and our nanny refuses to get vaccinated and so we are parting ways with her.
And it was very, very sad. We thought after six months of seeing the vaccines are all good and everybody’s is fine that she would come around.
Tucker played the audio while a hilarious chyron was displayed on screen.
“CNN’s NASTY EUNUCH GETS RID OF HIS NANNY”
The host wondered exactly how sad was the CNN media critic?
“The headline here is that CNN’s media critic dismissed, blithely dismissed his little non-white servant because she didn’t obey and that was quote ‘very, very sad,’” Tucker said after playing the audio clip.
“Well, how sad? How sad was he, exactly? Did he pay her health insurance until she finds a new job? What is she doing to eat and pay her rent now that she’s been dismissed by CNN’s ‘very sad’ media critic? We really don’t care what happens to our servants, do we, when they disobey?”
“So we asked CNN today. Of course, we got no answer at all, which is itself an answer, which is ‘We don’t know. We don’t care.’ Tells you a lot,” Carlson added.
Stelter’s two children are both under the age of five and unable to get the vaccine if their parents wanted them to, and presumably they would as Stelter’s wife, NY1 reporter Jamie Stelter is herself reportedly immunocompromised.
The nanny remains anonymous so it is unclear how Carlson knows that she is “non-white.”
Stelter, who is always eager to blurt out opinions in order to make a headline, suggested on Monday that recently suspended host Chris Cuomo might be back on the air as soon as January 2022. Cuomo was relieved of duty at the network when it was revealed that a major conflict of interest had developed over the younger Cuomo running interference for his brother, ex-NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who was embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal at the time.
Brotherly love and loyalty notwithstanding, doing so as a CNN host reporting on the scandal could certainly be considered journalistic malpractice, though it doesn’t appear that anyone has ever accused “Fredo” of being a journalist.
Stelter offered his prediction on the Cuomo situation.
“We’re heading into a holiday season. I think it’s possible he will be on the bench for several weeks. It’s possible he’ll be back in January,” he said during an appearance on the network’s “New Day.”
A CNN spokesperson backpedaled on Stelter’s comments, telling Fox News, “Anything is possible but it’s all speculative until the review is complete. It’s not even been 24 hrs.”
Speculation abounds, however, that Cuomo won’t be back at CNN, and that both Jake Tapper and Brian Stelter are chomping at the bit for the $6M-a-year primetime gig.
