Pop artist and rapper Nicki Minaj claimed on Wednesday that she had been put in “Twitter jail” and that she had been invited to the White House to discuss COVID vaccine concerns.
“I’m in Twitter jail y’all. They didn’t like what I was saying over there on that block, I guess my poll was gonna be. Asking questions is OK. I like being fking dumb. Then boom. Can’t tweet,” she stated on Instagram.
Twitter issued a statement Wednesday night that hotly denied they had suspended Minaj. “Twitter did not take any enforcement action on the account referenced,” a spokesperson for the social media platform told Mediaite.
Earlier on Wednesday, Minaj announced that the White House had invited her to visit following a viral explosion on social media after the singer engaged in a tweet-storm concerning COVID vaccinations and potential side effects.
“The White House has invited me & I think it’s a step in the right direction. Yes, I’m going. I’ll be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde so they know I mean business. I’ll ask questions on behalf of the ppl who have been made fun of for simply being human. #BallGate day 3,” she tweeted.

The White House told Fox News that they had invited Minaj, but not for a visit. Instead, they claimed they offered her a phone call, “As we have with others, we offered a call with Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer questions she has about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.”
Minaj clapped back after that claim. “Do y’all think I would go on the internet and lie about being invited to the f—ing White House? Like what? Do you guys see what is happening right now?” Minaj railed on Instagram.
She also said that her manager and publicist were on the call with the White House when Biden officials said, “We’d like to offer Nicki an invitation to come to the White House to speak with Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy and Dr. Anthony Fauci,” according to Fox News.
She contends she told White House officials she would prefer not to travel and suggested a public or private “live” video on social media instead.
She declared in her Instagram video that the White House called back after she tweeted about the invitation and they “weren’t too happy” about her talking about it publicly.
She also alleged that the Democratic Party and other liberals were attempting to “assassinate” her character.
The whole dust-up started on Monday when Minaj created a firestorm on social media, posting on Twitter that she was still doing research on getting the jab after her cousin in Trinidad had a friend whose testicles swelled up after getting vaccinated. She was viciously attacked by the media and accused of spreading misinformation.
Then Minaj infuriated a number of her followers and leftists by indicating that she was in agreement with Fox News host Tucker Carlson concerning the COVID vaccine.
you know he's a white nationalist right?

On “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the conservative pundit stated, “It’s not anything to do with the physical effect of the vaccine that makes our political class mad – it’s the last part of Nicki Minaj’s tweet that enraged them. The part where she says you should pray on it, make the decision yourself like a free human being, and quote ‘don’t be bullied.'”
Minaj had previously blasted both political parties on Twitter in response to criticism from fans over quoting Carlson, stating, “Right. I can’t speak to, agree with, even look at someone from a particular political party. Ppl aren’t human any more. If you’re black & a Democrat tells u to shove marbles up ur *ss, you simply have to. If another party tells u to look out for that bus, stand there & get hit.”

You know how many US Presidents were white supremacists? Oh please. Just stay on topic. Y’all can’t do that. The topic is: asking questions is OK. but let’s make the topic: Nicki talks to white racists so that you can all sleep better tonight. Dummies

Dr. Anthony Fauci was quick to try and put Minaj in her place, claiming her assertions were baseless.
“There’s no evidence that it happens, nor is there any mechanistic reason to imagine that it would happen,” Fauci stated on CNN. “There’s a lot of misinformation, mostly on social media, and the only way we know to counter mis- and disinformation is to provide a lot of correct information and to essentially debunk these kinds of claims, which may be innocent on her part. I’m not blaming her for anything but she should be thinking twice about propagating information that really has no basis.”
Trinidad’s health minister chimed in on Minaj’s comments as well. He complained that “so much time” was wasted fact-checking the claim, according to The Week.
Minaj found tremendous support among conservatives on social media:
