Conservative firebrand and political commentator Candace Owens called out “leftist losers” for starting a conspiracy theory that she had contracted COVID when, in fact, she was on vacation with her family.
“This might rank as the best conspiracy theory ever drafted about me. Unfortunately for you— I’m at the top of an Aspen mountain with my family and limited reception. I’m still proudly unvaccinated and unmasked. And you are the definition of a leftist loser, @kenolin1,” Owens tweeted Monday epically slamming the left as only she can.
She also tweeted in response, “I mean the hashtag #CandaceGotCovid. Nobody dweebs quite like the Left.”
Her mockery was in response to someone named Ken Olin on Twitter, who seems to specialize in going after those who are anti-vaxxers. In a since-deleted tweet from Sunday, he said, “After ridiculing people who take precautions to prevent getting the virus, @RealCandaceO has pulled out of speaking engagements and seemingly vanished. Does she have COVID? Hmm…?”

He wasn’t the only one pushing the conspiracy theory. It seemed to catch on like wildfire on the left. They were quoting unconfirmed sources that Owens canceled an event at the Texas Youth Summit, an event organized by a Christian conservative group and held this past Friday, because of a “sudden illness,” according to NewsOne.
Calling her an anti-vaccine champion (a title Owens proudly carries,) the outlet baselessly claimed she “may have come down with COVID-19 after spending more than a year dismissing it as nothing more than a hoax designed to infringe on freedoms enjoyed by Americans.”
“Owens, who has bragged about traveling internationally for months and sleeping next to her husband after he tested positive for COVID-19 without contracting the coronavirus, has called herself a ‘scientific miracle’ who is ‘proud’ to go unvaccinated and repeatedly questioned the COVID-19 vaccine‘s effectiveness and worth,” the outlet breathlessly reported.
Salon staff writer Zachary Petrizzo eagerly tweeted on Saturday that Owens “could not make her speaking slot” because of a “sudden illness” that was not specified.

Petrizzo’s tweet went viral with leftists fantasizing that Owens is either actually vaccinated or that she had possibly succumbed to the virus.
On Sunday, the Meidas Touch pro-Democratic political action committee followed up on Petrizzo’s tweet by asking: “Anti-vaxxer Candace Owens had to pull out of a speaking engagement two days ago due to a ‘sudden illness’ and has not been heard from since. Is she Covid positive?”

That tweet also went viral. “Candace Owens sick” and “Candace Owens illness” trended on Twitter as well.
An alleged leftist ER nurse named Kellen Squire was quick to tweet her summation of those who won’t get the jab, stating, “It’s not any easier watching unvaccinated people die. I see people sardonically joke that hey, play stupid games, etc. But they almost all understand the magnitude of their f**kup… albeit way too late. The look in their eyes. There’s no peace- it’s just panic, until the end.”

And they were quick to use conservatives who have died from COVID as ghoulish examples of their being right.

NewsOne’s Zack Linly caustically wrote, “We really shouldn’t be making fun of or shouting ‘I told you so’ at anti-vaxxers and COVID-19 deniers who end up hospitalized after contracting the virus, but there are certain people who make it hard to be compassionate.”
Meanwhile, Candace Owens has legions of followers who wholeheartedly agree with and support her:

Imagine their disappointment when the first tweet went out. She’s on vacation and they are dunking on her about being sick. Just sad.
