Chatterbox royal Prince Harry has been spilling the beans on his life and mental health in a new docuseries released on Apple TV+, and well, the “beans” have been so shocking that they’ve been generating viral headline after viral headline.

The latest batch of headlines, all of them published Thursday, are particularly shocking, as they cover numerous claims pertaining to the royal family back in the U.K.

The most notable of the claims is that Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, ditched the royal family and set out for America last year because they’d felt “neglected.”

“I thought my family would help, but every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, just got met with total silence, total neglect. We spent four years trying to make it work. We did everything that we possibly could to stay there and carry on doing the role and doing the job. But Meghan was struggling,” he said, according to the Daily Mail.

“That feeling of being trapped within the family, there was no option to leave. Eventually, when I made that decision for my family [to leave], I was still told, ‘You can’t do this.’ And it’s like, ‘Well how bad does it have to get until I am allowed to do this?’ She [Meghan] was going to end her life. It shouldn’t have to get to that,” he added.

He claimed that, while together at an event at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2019, his then-pregnant wife opened up to him about how depressed and suicidal she’d felt — and about how the only reason she hadn’t killed herself was out of love for him.

Never mind the child she’d been pregnant with …

“The thing that stopped her from seeing it through was how unfair it would be on me after everything that had happened to my mum and to now to be put in a position of losing another woman in my life — with a baby inside of her, our baby,” he revealed.

“The scariest thing for her was her clarity of thought. She hadn’t ‘lost it.’ She wasn’t crazy. She wasn’t self-medicating, be it through pills or through alcohol. She was absolutely sober. She was completely sane. Yet in the quiet of night, these thoughts woke her up,” he added.

He said that was the moment he realized things had to change.

“While my wife and I were in those chairs, gripping each other’s hand, the moment the lights go down, Meghan starts crying. I’m feeling sorry for her, but I’m also really angry with myself that we’re stuck in this situation,” he explained.

However, he also admitted in the interview — and seemingly in contradiction to what he’d said about “neglect” — that he’d been too afraid to talk to his family.

“I was ashamed to go to my family because, to be honest with you, like a lot of other people my age can relate to, I know I’m not going to get from my family what I need,” he said.

But how would he know unless he tried?

Despite Prince Harry’s attempt to explain his departure from the royal family by just pointing to his wife’s struggles, it appeared that he had some issues as well.

During one portion of the docuseries, he reportedly complained that the lifestyle of being a part of the royal family felt like a form of suffering — one that he resented.

“My father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to both William and I, ‘Well, it was like that for me so it’s going to be like that for you.’ That doesn’t make sense. Just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean your kids have to suffer,” he said.

“In fact, quite the opposite. If you suffered, do everything you can to make sure that whatever negative experiences you had, you can make it right for your kids. Isn’t this all about breaking the cycle? Isn’t this all about making sure that history doesn’t repeat itself,” he added.

Harry also shared that he has mental issues because of the tragic circumstances surrounding the death of his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

Listen:

“For most of my life I’ve always felt worried, concerned, a little bit tense and uptight whenever I fly back into the UK, whenever I fly back into London. And I could never understand why. I was aware of it, I wasn’t aware of it at the time when I was younger, but after I started doing therapy stuff I became aware of it. I was like, why do I feel so uncomfortable?” he said

“And of course for me London is a trigger, unfortunately, because of what happened to my mum, and because of what I experienced and what I saw. Happens every time. I can’t remember the first time it happened, I can just remember the feeling, anxiety, like a hollow empty feeling almost of nervousness, is it fear? Everything feels tense. It’s being the hunted, and being helpless and knowing that you can’t do anything about it. There is no escape. There is no way out of this,” he added.

To demonstrate how he deals with this anxiety, he then performed a type of therapy in front of the camera.

He claimed he used this same therapy to prepare himself for the trip back to London last month to attend his late grandfather’s funeral.

Dovetailing back to his wife, he said that when she began speaking out about her alleged experiences within the royal family, his family pounced in anger, with the fiercest attacks apparently hitting right before Markle’s infamous Oprah interview in March.

“Prince Harry has claimed the royal family tried to smear Meghan before her interview with Oprah Winfrey, said The Firm is still ‘trying to control the narrative’ and that he has ‘no regrets’ since ‘speaking his truth,'” according to the Daily Mail.

Watch:

But what remains unclear is how much of what he’s saying really is the truth. Celebrated British commentator Piers Morgan has long claimed that both the prince and his wife are unrepentant liars.

Speaking with Fox News host Tucker Carlson after the March interview, he accused the couple of telling “so many ridiculous whoppers” and “lying on a global scale” in their “tacky, tasteless” and “disingenuous” interview.

Following backlash for the blunt assessment, Morgan then doubled down:
