“The Talk” co-host Sharon Osbourne appeared on Entertainment Tonight Wednesday to confront new accusations of racism and bullying that are surfacing after she defended her friendship with Piers Morgan who has since left “Good Morning Britain” over his Meghan Markle comments.
In an episode of “The Talk” Osbourne was confronted by her colleagues with allegations of racism which led to a blowup that had Osbourne in tears while she defended Morgan. Osbourne is taking a temporary hiatus from the show. CBS is reviewing “The Talk” and the battle is now mostly between Osbourne’s attorney and the network.
In the interview with ET, Osbourne slammed the show and CBS over the episode that blew up her career. She discussed a pact that she had forged with co-hosts Sheryl Underwood, Elaine Welteroth, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Amanda Kloots. They had vowed never to catch each other by surprise on the show following an episode in February where Inaba blindsided Welteroth with an awkward question.
That is the primary reason that Osbourne felt so betrayed when her co-hosts had a gotcha moment over her defense of Piers Morgan. Especially in regards to the charges of racism leveled against him.

“And I went, like, how dare you all do this to me! I’m your sacrificial lamb!” Osbourne emotionally stated. Most of her anger though is reserved for CBS executives. She claims that they were behind the “blindside.” She also alleges she was the one who requested the investigation that resulted in the hiatus.
Osbourne also asserts that her co-hosts refused to talk to her during the commercial break. Underwood is reportedly still not speaking to her even though Osbourne gave her a private, personal apology.
She also noted that she speaks with Piers Morgan frequently: “He checks in on me every day, and he feels really me standing up for his right of speech has got me where I am today.”
Osbourne went on to add: “I wish we could go on and have an adult conversation calmly and work it out but I don’t know whether we can.” She continued: “I don’t know whether it’s gone past that. I would love to but I don’t know whether I even want to go back,” or “whether I’m wanted there.”
Meanwhile, further accusations are being slung at Osbourne. On Friday, actress Holly Robinson Peete, who co-hosted “The Talk” during its first season, tweeted out that Osbourne allegedly complained that she was “ghetto” and insinuated that she had something to do with her exit from the show. A tweet from a former co-host of “The Talk” Leah Remini surfaced from 2012 that mentions Osbourne using the same term to describe her and Robinson Peete. A video clip of Osbourne in 2018 was also drudged up that appeared to allege that Meghan Markle “ain’t black” because “she doesn’t look black.”

Vanity Fair exposed even more as the long knives came out from the woke crowd for Osbourne. Her publicist hotly defended her:
On Tuesday, reporter Yashar Ali published a newsletter containing claims that Osbourne referred to her former co-host Julie Chen with using-Asian slurs, citing multiple unnamed sources as well as another former co-host, Leah Remini. The sources also allege that Osbourne referred to her former co-host and The Talk’s executive producer Sara Gilbert, who is a lesbian, with slurs as well. The report asserts that Osbourne was lashing out at her colleagues because she felt Chen was trying to take center stage on the show and Gilbert was doing nothing to stop her.
In response to these allegations, Osbourne’s publicist, Howard Bragman, said, “The only thing worse than a disgruntled former employee is a disgruntled former talk show host. For 11 years Sharon has been kind, collegial, and friendly with her hosts as evidenced by throwing them parties, inviting them to her home in the UK and other gestures of kindness too many to name. Sharon is disappointed but unfazed and hardly surprised by the lies, the recasting of history and the bitterness coming out at this moment. She will survive this, as she always has and her heart will remain open and good, because she refuses to let others take her down. She thanks her family, friends and fans for standing by her and knowing her true nature.”
Social media blasted the whole affair:
