‘The Talk’ takes break as CBS reviews Osbourne’s exchange with black co-host. Re-education camp?

CBS talk show host Sharon Osbourne is getting a harsh lesson on wokeness in post-Obama America, where dissent is simply not tolerated — you will get on board or you will be canceled.

Adding to the fallout over last week’s tense exchange with co-host Sheryl Underwood, “The Talk” is taking a short hiatus, as CBS canceled its episodes on Monday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 16, while a review takes place, Fox News reported late Sunday.

“We are committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace,” CBS said in a statement. “All matters related to the Wednesday episode of ‘The Talk’ are currently under internal review.”

Osbourne is paying a dear price for deciding to stand up for Piers Morgan’s right to free speech after the British commentator dared to criticize Meghan Markle.

The decision resulted in the fallout with Underwood, a black woman who fell back on “white entitlement” to ask if Osbourne was validating a racist. Osbourne pushed back hard on the guilt by association overtures.

Prince Harry and Markle sat down last week with Oprah Winfrey and claimed palace representatives were concerned about their unborn son’s skin color, and Markle said she was contemplating suicide at one point and was denied help. Morgan accused Prince Harry of being “disloyal” to the Royal Family, and said he did not believe Markle.

“Who did you go to? What did they say to you? I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said, Meghan Markle. I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report,” Morgan said.

As a white male, Morgan’s criticism of Markle, who is biracial, was deemed racist by the woke crowd on the left.

“He doesn’t want to understand how Meghan was treated was racism and then says … ‘I don’t see it as being racist — I don’t believe what she’s going through’ — it’s that white entitlement, privilege that makes it racist upon itself,” Underwood said. “So if you’re saying ‘I stand with you,’ how do you address people who say then you are standing with racism? I’m not saying that you are.”

Over the weekend, CBS announced that exchange was being investigated, and it’s a safe bet that Osbourne’s actions are what are being scrutinized. Osbourne was clear that she did not agree with Morgan’s views, but was defending his right to say what he said. But it was her staunch defense of herself not being a racist that really drew attention.

Morgan would quit his job as host of “Good Morning Britain” over the sordid affair, as the left-leaning media launched an intense campaign to defend Markle.

As for  Osbourne, she would eventfully cave to the woke mob, offering an apology on Twitter.

“To anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry. I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive and allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being racist take over,” the release said. “There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism so to feel associated with that spun me fast!”
