Despite businesses left and right going bankrupt because of unscientific coronavirus restrictions, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has called for “everything” that’s not so-called “essential” to be shuttered again because of the coronavirus.

During a briefing Wednesday, the mayor issued a “Targeted Stay at Home Order” that essentially forces everybody to stay home, save for those deemed worthy of leaving.

My message couldn’t be simpler. It’s time to hunker down. It’s time to cancel everything. And if it isn’t essential, don’t do it,” he said.

Don’t meet up with others outside your household. Don’t host a gathering. Don’t attend a gathering. And following our ‘Targeted Safer at Home Order,’ if you’re able to stay home, stay home.”

Listen:

To be fair to Garcetti, his order was reportedly a “copy-cat” of a “Temporary Targeted Safer At Home Order” issued by Los Angeles County late last week, meaning his order appears to be nothing more than a virtue signal.

“The city and county orders are the same. In the past there have been some minor differences but currently they are the same,” a spokesperson for Garcetti told the Los Angeles Times.

Despite the order being the same as the county’s order, Garcetti’s sharp rhetoric about canceling “everything” triggered massive condemnation to the point that the tweet from him seen a couple paragraphs above boasts a nearly 300 percent ratio.

Look at some of the responses below:

Note what the latter Twitter user wrote about Garcetti’s “political colleagues.” California is home to the most covidiot hypocrites, including but not limited to Gov. Gavin Newsom, San Jose Mayor San Liccardo, Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

Every single person listed above has been caught violating basic coronavirus restrictions and guidelines after lecturing their constituents about those same restrictions and guidelines.

One of them, Kuehl, voted last week to implement a draconian lockdown order that bans all dining at Los Angeles County restaurants — including outdoor dining — for three weeks starting on Nov. 25th.

As justification for the vote, she claimed it’s simply not safe to dine at a restaurant.

“The servers are not protected from us, and they’re not protected from their other tables that they’re serving at that particular time, plus all the hours in which they’re working,” she reportedly said.

Yet later that same day, she herself dined at an Italian restaurant near her Santa Monica home.

Her hypocrisy provoked national outrage, with even former Trump administration official Richard Grenell calling her out:

Because of the contrast between the dictates of California’s pro-lockdown Democrats and the behaviors of these same politicians, an increasing number of California residents have vowed to continue living their lives, the government be damned.

And FYI, the truth is that Garcetti is no different than his covidiot peers.
