Robert Trump, the younger brother of President Donald Trump, died peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 15 of an undisclosed illness. He was 71-years-old.
The President mourned the death of his “wonderful brother” and “best friend” in a touching statement:
“It is with a heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend.
He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”
Robert was gravely ill for several months. He was reportedly hospitalized for a week in the intensive care unit at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City earlier this summer.
Robert Trump is the youngest of the five Trump siblings:
- Maryanne Trump Barry, 83, a retired federal judge
- Fred Trump Jr., who died in 1981 at the age of 43
- President Donald Trump, 74.
- Elizabeth Trump Grau, 78, a retired bank executive
- Robert Trump, RIP.
Robert, a top executive at the Trump Organization, retired recently and was living in Millbrook, New York.
Robert shunned the spotlight and was known for his affable, easygoing personality — a stark contrast to his outspoken, ambitious older brother.

President Trump had a close, affectionate relationship with Robert, as he does with all his siblings.
In this moving November 2016 video, Trump greets a roomful of supporters at an event in New York City — one day after he was elected president.
When he sees his brother Robert in the crowd, the president rushes over and gives him a warm bear hug and a kiss.

It’s nice that President Trump was close to his siblings — unlike Barack Obama, who is estranged from his half-brother, Malik Obama. In his July 2020 memoir, Malik slammed Barack as “cold and ruthless.”
Last week, Malik said: “[I’m] 110% still with Trump. He’s not fake. He tells us the way he sees it. He’s bold and fearless and he’s tough.”
Malik also mocked Democrat Joe Biden as frail and senile.
“I don’t think he’s going to make it,” Obama quipped. “He looks like he’s going to drop dead.”

Immediately after Robert Trump died, leftists celebrated and gloated and caused the hashtag #WrongTrump to trend for hours.
Basically, leftists are saying that the wrong Trump died.
Dear Grim Reaper,
You took the #wrongtrump.

Trump supporters fired back on Twitter. “Liberalism is a mental disorder.”
I see that #wrongtrump is trending.

The hateful hashtag cements what many conservatives know inside: Today’s Left doesn’t just disagree with you. They want you dead.
Remember how I keep telling you that liberals want you dead?

This is the far left.
They aren’t hiding their extreme views.

Trump supporters said the Left’s hatred should serve as a wake-up call so the scales fall off their eyes and they prepare for war.
“This is what we are at war with. Make sure you pay attention.”
#wrongtrump is the most disgusting hashtag that I’ve seen. This is what we are at war with. Make sure that you pay attention.

The Washington Post, the AP and other left-wing media wrote a nicer obituary for ISIS founder Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi than they did for Robert Trump.
It really is gross. https://t.co/xi49yg2xP4
