Podcaster Joe Rogan could hop on the CalExit train alongside billionaire Elon Musk. Rogan is considering moving to Texas because he’s disgusted with California’s restrictive, indefinite coronavirus lockdowns.

Rogan — a Bernie Sanders supporter — also complained about the left-wing state’s sky-high taxes and said he might leave for the greener pastures of no-income-tax Texas.

“I don’t know if [California] is a good place to live,” Rogan said on his podcast. “First of all, it’s extremely expensive. The taxes are ridiculous…I might jet. I’m not kidding. I don’t need to be here.”

The Texas Constitution forbids personal-income taxes, and state taxes are lower than in the liberal states of California and New York.

Rogan underscored that he really likes many cities in Texas, but balked at living in Houston because of its boiling summer weather.

“I like Austin a lot,” Rogan said. “I like Dallas a lot. I like Houston. I don’t know if I would live in Houston. The summer is a motherf**ker.”

While some dismiss Rogan as “just a comedian and podcaster,” he has a massive audience and wields a lot of influence among his listeners. According to Apple, Joe has the No. 1 podcast in the world, with 190 million downloads a month.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) was thrilled by the news and urged Rogan to move.

“Texas is gonna be even more awesome, if that was even possible,” Crenshaw tweeted. “Joe Rogan, Elon Musk…anyone else? Texas is open for business for freedom-loving Americans.”

Radio host Dana Loesch chimed in: “The sky is bigger, the beer is colder, and we have better gun laws in Texas, Joe Rogan.”

Meanwhile, many conservatives urged leftists not to come to their red states, saying they’ll destroy them with their inane, left-wing politics.

Last week, Elon Musk announced plans to move Tesla out of California to Texas to protest Cali’s “fascist, unconstitutional” lockdowns. Musk is friendly with Rogan, so perhaps it’s not surprising that Rogan is taking a cue from Musk.

The billionaire founder of Tesla and SpaceX said: “The extension of the shelter-in-place — or I would call it, forcibly imprisoning people in their homes against all their Constitutional rights — [is] breaking people’s freedoms in ways that are horrible and wrong. What the f**k!”

Musk pointed out that Tesla is the last carmaker left in California. Over the years, many car manufacturers have abandoned California, citing the state’s anti-business regulations.

“Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately,” Elon tweeted. “If we even retain Fremont manufacturing activity at all, it will be dependent on how Tesla is treated in the future.”

Even before the indefinite lockdowns, California was already imploding due to its alarming homelessness crisis, soaring drug epidemic, and rampant illegal immigration.

In January, environmental activists revealed that California’s beaches, rivers, and streams have become contaminated with shocking levels of dangerous fecal bacteria thanks to the state’s homelessness epidemic.

Instead of fixing the districts they represent, Democrats Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Eric Swalwell, Ted Lieu and Adam Schiff wasted three years and millions in taxpayer money trying to remove President Trump through their botched impeachment.

President Trump spotlighted the terrifying epidemic of homelessness in California and the dangerous, unsanitary fallout across its big cities.

“We should all work together to clean up these hazardous waste and homeless sites before the whole city rots away,” Trump tweeted. “Very bad and dangerous conditions, also severely impacting the Pacific Ocean and water supply. Pelosi must work on this mess and turn her district around!”

David Gibson is the executive officer of the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board. He confirmed that homeless people have been dumping human waste into public waterways for years.

“I’ve carried 5-gallon buckets that were unambiguously being used as toilets,” Gibson said. “They were taking it to the San Diego River, dumping it there, and rinsing it out there.”

In December 2019, President Trump warned California Governor Gavin Newsom to fix his state’s homelessness crisis — or he will. But before Trump could act on this, the coronavirus pandemic infested the United States.
