Former Obama adviser Ben Rhodes — one of the architects of the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal — now says he’s worried about a possible US war with Iran after Defense Secretary James Mattis resigned, citing policy differences with President Trump.
“Mattis quitting makes war with Iran over the next two years more likely,” Rhodes tweeted.
It’s odd to say given his hawkish history, but Mattis quitting makes war with Iran over the next two years more likely.

Twitter torched Rhodes over his ironic observation, which spotlighted his comically shocking lack of self-awareness.
“No Ben, the $1.5 billion you and your overlord gave to to Iran makes war more likely.”
No Ben the $1.5B you and your overlord gave to to Iran makes war more likely.

The US is now indirectly a leading sponsor of Islamic terrorism — thanks to the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal signed under former President Barack Obama.
Under the Iran Nuclear Deal, Iran — the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world — promised never to acquire nuclear weapons.
In the lopsided agreement, Obama lifted economic sanctions that had crippled Iran financially for decades, unfroze $150 billion in assets, and gave Iran $400 million in cash.
Shortly afterward, Iran increased its defense budget 145% and is using the billions of dollars that were unfrozen under the Iran Nuclear Deal to build up its weapons stockpile.
So basically, the US gave Iran fistfuls of cash to build a massive army to annihilate us.

In April 2017, Iranian military leaders bragged to local newspapers that the Islamic Republic’s army was being fortified into an “offensive juggernaut.”
“We need missiles, and the enemy [the United States] should know that we make everything we need,” Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said. “We don’t pay an iota of attention to your words.”
Rouhani’s comments echoed similar statements by senior Iranian military leaders, who vowed that Iran will “never stop” developing ballistic missiles.
Iran has reportedly constructed a third underground ballistic missile production factory and is now itching to use the weapons against the United States.
Iranian General Amir Ali Hajizadeh declared in a statement:
“We will increase our missile power.
Our enemies, the United States, and the Zionist regime (Israel) are naturally upset and get angry at our missile production, tests and underground missile facilities because they want Iran to be in a weak position.”
President Trump has repeatedly slammed the deal, calling it dangerous and stupid.
Michael Rubin — a former Pentagon adviser — isn’t surprised that Iran played the United States for fools under Obama.
Rubin said this is exactly what Iran did between 1998 and 2005 when it profited from a lucrative trade deal with the European Union.
“Obama and Kerry might as well have wired the money directly into the accounts of those seeking to enhance Iran’s military, kill Sunnis, or sponsor terrorism,” Rubin said.

Another Pentagon insider agreed:
An Iranian military buildup coupled with an offensive posture is a threat to the United States and our allies. This also serves as an important reminder of why the Obama administration’s cash infusion to Iran was so dangerous.
These kinds of horrible decisions are precisely why former Obama officials say his wimpiness against foreign adversaries left the world a more dangerous place.
“Obama had the capability, but not the will [to retaliate against our enemies],” said Barry Pavel, a former senior director on the National Security Council. “Obama left a more dangerous world.”
