Michael Moore’s proposal to stop Trump’s SCOTUS pick is so funny, the jokes write themselves

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy’s impending retirement has liberals like activist and filmmaker Michael Moore feeling so exasperated that they’re willing to do anything to stop Congress from confirming his replacement, including surround the Capitol.

“I’ll join a million other people surrounding the United States Capitol. I will stand there,” he threatened during an appearance Friday evening on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Why all the unnecessary melodrama? Because if President Donald Trump were allowed to install another conservative justice, it would mean game over for many left-wing causes, including possibly even abortion.

“If this judge goes through, for at least the rest of our lives, it’s a right wing court. That’s it. It’s over,” Moore argued.

He wasn’t wrong about that. But that’s why people always warn that “elections have consequences.” And no matter what lies liberals spout, the fact remains that Trump rightfully won the 2016 presidential election.

Moore’s only recourse is to prevent Congress from confirming Trump’s pick until after the midterms. His hope is that the Democrats will retake the Senate, thus giving them the power to permanently block the president from confirming a conservative justice. Moore apparently still believes that a “blue wave” looms ahead, never mind the evidence suggesting otherwise.

Speaking a day earlier on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” about Trump’s presidency, Moore warned his fellow liberals that the only way to stop the president from continuing to enact his otherwise well-received agenda is to take action with their bodies.

“The despair that I have in going forward and making these movies,” he began whining, referencing his hash of conspiratorial documentaries, “is when are people going to get off the couch and when are we going to rise up?”

“And I’m telling you folks, to answer your question, the end game sadly is going to be Trump is not going to leave, he plans to be re-elected, he loves the term ‘president for life,'” he continued. “The only way that we’re going to stop this is eventually we’re all going to have to put our bodies on the line.”

This inane belief by Moore and his ilk that Trump intends to remain in power forever is another reminder of why so few Americans take them seriously anymore.

As for the activist’s demand that Americans put their bodies on the line to stop Trump, Hollywood actor James Woods cleverly noted that Moore could probably accomplish this all by himself.

Look:

Yes, that was a fat joke.
