Nick Reiner murder trial delayed due to pending autopsy reports

In a stunning courtroom twist, Nick Reiner’s murder trial was delayed after officials revealed autopsy reports were outstanding.

Nick Reiner appeared for a hearing on Wednesday to face double murder charges in the deaths of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, but prosecutors said the autopsy reports remain pending four and a half months after they were killed, according to TMZ. Deputy District Attorney Jonathan Chung said prosecutors still needed to turn over almost two terabytes worth of discovery to the defense and acknowledged the incomplete autopsy reports, the Los Angeles Times reported.
