A driver drove a car into a crowd of people in Leipzig, Germany, in a fatal incident on Monday afternoon, officials said.
Officials said at least two were killed and around 20 were injured in the incident, German outlet DW reported. Authorities have apprehended the alleged perpetrator, but the motive remains uncertain, Leipzig Mayor Burkhard Jung said, according to the BBC. City Fire Chief Axel Schuh said the incident injured 22, leaving two in serious condition. Around 40 firefighters and 40 paramedics responded to the scene, he added.
