Ghost of Kamala’s campaign crawls out of cave for one more zinger — turns out it’s a historical botch job

The last vestige of Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign reared its head Tuesday in an attempt to belittle President Donald Trump’s hosting of a state visit from Britain’s King Charles III, only to be subjected to internet mockery.

As the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps performed on the White House‘s South Lawn, the X account @HQNewsNow (Headquarters) — formerly @KamalaHQ, the Harris campaign’s rapid response account — posted an image of the service member band, declaring, “There are currently Redcoats on the White House lawn to welcome the King of England.”
