Designer of Nicki Minaj’s infamous pink fried chicken necklace turns on her for going Trump

The Taiwanese-American designer behind rapper Nicki Minaj’s infamous fried chicken necklace has made his political stance known.

Minaj has come under fire recently for her support of President Donald Trump, and now Page Six is reporting that ONCH is counting himself among those boycotting her MAGA support.

“ONCH created the pink fried-chicken piece that the rapper memorably wore on stage at the iHeart Music Festival, which was fawned over by everyone from Billboard to Bon Appetit and which was even called out on a Remy Ma diss track,” the outlet reported.

“Are you dumb? You wore a pink diamond chicken wing chain (Are you dumb?) You had a leopard beehive on your head (Are you dumb?),” the song goes.

“But now he’s auctioning it to benefit the American Civil Liberties Association after Minaj embraced the Trump Administration,” the article details, explaining the reason behind the auction.

The piece was signed by the rapper, making it a high-priced item that will be auctioned off on an app called Palmstreet. The minimum bid will be $30,000 and is currently open for pre-bids.

“As an artist of color, it matters to me how my work is remembered. Redirecting this moment toward giving back allows the design to carry new meaning beyond the current spectacle,” ONCH said to the outlet.
