President Donald Trump’s new “Anti-Weaponization Fund” has his critics spiraling, and Don Lemon overreacted to the nearly $1.8 billion by blasting it as a form of “white reparations.”
Lemon’s rant was in reaction to the Justice Department’s announcement of the fund, which was set up after Trump dropped his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS. The former CNN host delivered a sarcastic monologue on what he termed a “slush fund,” attacking Republicans for previously arguing against reparations for descendants of slaves.
Lemon claimed Trump “stole” the money out of the U.S. Treasury and “gave it to the people who attacked the United States Capitol on January 6.”

“For hundreds of years, cannot be done,” Lemon said as he lamented reparations for slave descendants. “But the Justice Department put together $1.776 billion by Tuesday to pay white insurrectionists. This is white reparations.”
“So when they tell you that they can’t figure it out, what they mean is they don’t want to figure it out. Because they have always known how to write the check,” he said. “Should we be paying for something that we didn’t do? I didn’t go down in that damn Capitol, I didn’t walk in there.”
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who testified on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, announced that the fund will “have the power to issue formal apologies and monetary relief owed to claimants,” and there is “no partisan requirement” to file a claim.
“The machinery of government should never be weaponized against any American, and it is this Department’s intention to make right the wrongs that were previously done while ensuring this never happens again,” Blanche said in a statement. “As part of this settlement, we are setting up a lawful process for victims of lawfare and weaponization to be heard and seek redress.”

Lemon blasted Blanche’s “b*llshit excuses” as he continued his rant.
“Wow, Those white insurrectionist criminal terrorists are so disenfranchised that they have never had any sort of opportunities in America, never. America doesn’t grant white people opportunities, never have. They only do it to minorities,” he said. “Are you out of your f*cking mind, Todd Blanche?”
