Oops! Hillary takes MAJOR heat from the left for making the ‘wrong’ endorsement

Hillary Clinton set off a wave of outrage on the left as she endorsed the “wrong” candidate in a critical primary race for Democrats.

The former Secretary of State gave her nod of approval to Westchester County Executive George Latimer, firing up supporters of his opponent, Rep. Jamaal Bowman – of fire alarm fame.

Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are among some of the biggest names in the camp of Bowman who recently called out his opponent as being “in the pocket of Republican billionaires … who are racist.”

“He is also not just anti-black racist, he’s anti-Muslim racist,” the Squad member said of Latimer during an event on Wednesday.

That did not seem to deter Clinton from making her pitch for the challenger in the June 25 primary election.

“With Trump on the ballot, we need strong, principled Democrats in Congress more than ever,” the failed 2016 Democratic nominee for president posted on X, limiting the replies.

“In Congress, @LatimerforNY will protect abortion rights, stand up to the NRA, and fight for President Biden’s agenda — just like he’s always done.”

“Her voice gives even more momentum to our grassroots campaign, which keeps gaining strength because we stand strongly and honestly for our values and for our belief in delivering meaningful results for the communities we serve,” Latimer said in response in a statement.

Clinton earned the wrath of Bowman’s supporters for her move.

Democratic socialist journalist Bhaskar Sunkara posted simply on X: “Imagine taking Hillary Clinton’s advice in a year with Trump on the ballot.”

But Bowman dismissed Clinton’s endorsement with a stinging jab at her relevance.

“I definitely wouldn’t call it a ‘major endorsement,’ with all due respect,” the incumbent told CNN host Laura Coates on Thursday.

“I mean, we are endorsed by sitting U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), sitting U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and the Minority Leader of the Democratic Party, [Rep.] Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY),” he noted.

“It‘s unfortunate that my opponent and unfortunately, Secretary Clinton, seem to both be out of touch with this district,” Bowman added, referring to New York’s 16th Congressional District.
