The United States Navy debunked reports that military service members onboard warships deployed to the Middle East were being deprived of vital nutrition due to food shortages.
Viral images of alleged food trays with unappetizing “rationed slop” circulated on social media with USA Today amplifying the “fake news” with its reporting that sailors, Marines and airmen weren’t getting care packages from loved ones due to mail suspension.

“Dan F. was alarmed when his daughter, a Marine aboard the USS Tripoli, a warship deployed to fight the Iran war, sent him a photo of a meal served on the ship. A lunch tray, two-thirds empty, carried one small scoop of shredded meat and a single folded tortilla,” USA Today reported. “A picture of a mid-April dinner on the USS Abraham Lincoln, shared by a service member with his family, was similarly unappetizing – a small handful of boiled carrots, a dry meat patty and a gray slab of processed meat.”
The Navy called B.S. on the reports, sinking the unsubstantiated claims of food shortages.
“Recent reports alleging food shortages and poor quality aboard our deployed ships are false,” the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations said in a Friday statement posted to X.
Both USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Tripoli have sufficient food onboard to serve their crews with healthy options. The health and wellbeing of our Sailors and Marines are my top priority, and every crew member continues to receive fully portioned, nutritionally balanced meals.

“Both USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Tripoli have sufficient food onboard to serve their crews with healthy options. The health and wellbeing of our Sailors and Marines are my top priority, and every crew member continues to receive fully portioned, nutritionally balanced meals,” the statement read.
Secretary of War Pete Hegesth also rejected the rumors that there are food shortages.

The Pentagon boss again used the word “Pharisees” to describe the media, a term invoked by Jesus Christ himself to denounce the hypocrites and “blind guides” of his time.

It was just over a month ago when Democrats and their winged monkeys in the media were throwing a fit about the traditional “surf and turf” meals served to military members.
“The @USNavy possesses an unmatched logistics capability to sustain operations at sea, and routine menu adjustments are simply how we optimize our endurance to keep our warships in the fight,” the CNO’s office said.
