‘Are you stupid?’ Leftists slam Gov Abbott for ‘endorsing’ murder of black people over blatantly FALSE claim

The upside-down world of leftist activism, hellbent on qualifying “justice” through their own rose-colored lenses, dished out a hot take on Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R) effort to pardon that brought new meaning to the term color blind.

On July 25, 2020, U.S. Army Sgt. Daniel Perry was pulling double duty as an Uber driver in Austin, Texas when he came upon a throng of Black Lives Matter protesters who surrounded his vehicle. Armed with an AK-47, protester Garrett Foster was believed to have pointed his weapon at Perry through the driver’s window, prompting the sergeant to shoot Foster, claiming self-defense.

Despite the Lone Star State’s stand-your-ground laws, Perry was convicted Friday of murdering Foster, and as public outcry rose, Abbott stated unequivocally, “I am working as swiftly as Texas law allows regarding the pardon of Sgt. Perry,” over a screenshot detailing the holdup. “Unlike the President or some other states, the Texas Constitution limits the Governor’s pardon authority to only act on a recommendation by the Board of Pardons and Paroles. Texas law DOES allow the Governor to request the Board of Pardons and Paroles to determine if a person should be granted a pardon. I have made that request and instructed the Board to expedite its review.”

For Los Angeles Times contributor and Democratic strategist Kurt Bardella, only one conclusion could be drawn from such a pronouncement, “This is the Governor of Texas endorsing the murdering of Black people.”

“If you don’t see the connection between the TX Governor pardoning someone who murdered someone participating in a protest about social justice and how that sends the signal that shooting people of color is endorsed by the state, you’re part of the problem,” Bardella added as his take prompted swift backlash.

While facts are often viewed as trivial matters to progressives, many couldn’t help but point out the most glaring fault in Barella’s logic: Garrett Foster was white.

Even Twitter’s Community Notes zinged the LA Times contributor for the take and shared reporting from the Texas Tribune and New York Post detailing that “Garrett Foster was not black.”

Much like the Tennessee Democratic officials who partook in a protest at the State House were celebrated as heroes while any supporter of former President Donald Trump who was even near the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has been vilified as a terrorist, or how corporate media has sympathized with the transgender murderer responsible for the death of three children and three adults at The Covenant Christian school while demonizing those who point out the motive for her evil, the ends continue to justify the means.

However, that didn’t stop social media from attempting to break through to Bardella and implore him, often in colorful ways, to extract his head from his colon.
