The motorist who allegedly opened fire on and killed a militant Black Lives Matter extremist in self-defense during a violent BLM “protest” last weekend in Austin, Texas, has been publicly identified by his lawyers as an active duty U.S. Army sergeant named Daniel Perry.
“Daniel Perry is an active duty sergeant with the United States Army. He is a former Eagle Scout from the North Texas area and served our country proudly for the past eight years. Sgt. Perry served a tour in Afghanistan and has been the recipient of numerous army awards and commendations,” lawyers with the Dallas-based firm Broken & Mickelsen announced in a statement Thursday.

On the night of the “protest,” Perry was “driving for a ride share company in order to earn extra money.” After dropping off a client in the vicinity of the protest,” he tried proceeding to a “hot spot” to wait for another request when he ran into a mob of “protesters.”
“When Sgt. Perry turned on the Congress Avenue, several people started beating on his vehicle. An individual carrying an assault rifle, now known to be Garrett Foster, quickly approached the car and then motioned with the assault rifle for Mr. Perry to lower his window. Sgt. Perry initially believed the person was associated with law enforcement and complied with the command,” the lawyers wrote.
BLM extremists have a track record of terrorizing motorists like this.
After Perry rolled down his window, Foster proceeded to raise his assault rifle toward him, according to his lawyers.
“It was only then that Sgt. Perry, who carried a handgun in his car for his own protection while driving strangers in the ride share program, fired on the person to protect his own life,” they wrote.
After taking the shot that ultimately killed Foster, a BLM extremist, Perry came under fire from someone else in the crowd, so he promptly drove away from the scene and contacted the police.
The letter from his lawyers concluded by debunking some of the left-wing media’s false facts about the shooting and urging the public “to allow the police to conduct a full investigation.”
After the shooting last weekend, the media began running disturbing puff pieces about Foster:
“He was one of the most kindhearted people — that was the whole reason he was out there,” said Anna Mayo, Garrett Foster’s sister.https://t.co/DV0seA9Mtd

He was such a kind guy that he terrorized a motorist and pointed a weapon at him …
Perry’s allies likewise began demanding “justice” and claiming that Perry, who’s an active-duty Army sergeant who’s served overseas, was the instigator, and not Foster.
“Other witnesses at the scene dispute that Foster raised his weapon and said Perry seemed to use his car to instigate the violence. Vehicles have been used on numerous occasions throughout the country recently as weapons against those demonstrating against police brutality and racial injustice,” The Texas Tribune reported in a stunningly false report Friday.
Despite propaganda from the media (example below), the vast majority of incidents between motorists and so-called “protesters” have involved the so-called “protesters” terrorizing the motorists, and the motorists trying desperately to flee: (** Language warning)

Moreover, there are additional examples of so-called “protesters” trying to falsely portray themselves as the real victims when the evidence makes it clear they were the instigators and — more often than not — terrorists:

Local authorities for their part reportedly released Perry after initial questioning last Sunday and are currently investigating the matter further.
Foster’s groupies meanwhile, many of whom have come to view him as some sort of hero standing up to “white supremacy,” set up a memorial for him near where he was shot, but in a twist of irony, the memorial wound up being vandalized:

It was ironic because BLM extremists like Foster love to call for and participate in the vandalism and destruction of America’s historical monuments and memorials.
The man reportedly responsible for the vandalism, a self-identified “homeless” man named Don Gato, uploaded a TikTok video afterward calling Foster a “dead terrorist” who’d been “rightfully and legally euthanized.”
In another video that can be seen below, he said, “As soon as Garrett Foster is laid to rest, someone find out where he’s buried, and we’ll see how they like the destruction of their monuments.”
