Dragun was arrested Monday night at The Goodtime Hotel. Her publicist was horrified and called the decision to throw her in with male inmates abhorrent.

“The situation with Nikita, who is legally female, being placed in a men’s unit of a Florida jail is extremely disturbing and dangerous,” Jack Ketsoyan of Full Scope Public Relations told Page Six via a statement.

“This decision made by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department directly violates their protocol, which mandates that transgender inmates are classified and housed based on safety needs and gender identity,” he added.

The YouTube sensation’s real name is Nikita Nguyen. She’s 26 years old. Her videos have well over 250 million views and on Instagram, she has 9 million followers.

Her representative stated that she “has been released and is now safe. Thank you for respecting her privacy during this time.”

According to the police report on the incident, Dragun was prancing around the pool naked, slinging water at the hotel staff. Staff asked her to put her clothes back on and that was when she threw water at them and the cops were called.

By the time the police arrived on the scene, Dragun had gone back to her room and had turned the music up full blast. She finally opened the door after officers repeatedly pounded on it.

When she was told she had to follow the hotel’s rules or be evicted from the premises, she allegedly slammed the door in the officers’ faces. Then she reportedly opened the door and asked the police, “Do you want more?” before chucking a water bottle at them.

She was charged with felony battery on a police officer, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor battery. Dragun appeared in front of Judge Mindy Glazer who informed her that she had to remain in the men’s prison unit where she was detained following her arrest.

Dragun asked the judge if she could be moved to a different unit. Glazer said she couldn’t do that.

“Your honor may I ask one question,” Dragun said. “May I, do I have to stay here in the men’s unit still?”

“Yeah I don’t make the rules up there,” Glazer replied. “But they should be making a proper accommodation for you, you should be in a separate area.”

At the end of Dragun’s hearing, the influencer blew the camera a kiss.

According to NBC News:

In the affidavit, the department said Dragun “appears as a female but would like to be recognized as a male.” The affidavit lists Dragun as male and uses the pronouns “he” and “him” in the report. In Dragun’s inmate profile from the correction center, where she was held, she is also listed as male.

The transgender was sent to the men’s unit at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center before being released without bail on Wednesday. Dragun is set to appear in court again on Dec. 7.
