Lame-duck “conservative” Republican Liz Cheney seems to be having some difficulties finding any GOP candidate that she can endorse, but she somehow managed to lavish praise on radical left Democrat Nancy Pelosi.
In a pandering presentation at the City Club in Cleveland moderated by PBS’s Judy Woodruff, the Pelosi pawn on the January 6 committee had this to say about the “tremendous” U.S. House Speaker.
“I want to say a word about Speaker Pelosi. I did not really know her before I began work on the January 6 committee. Not sure if I had ever spoken to her, actually. But since I have been on the committee — and….everyone knows she is a liberal from San Francisco; I’m a conservative from Wyoming,” the self-righteous lawmaker explained.
“There are many, many issues, maybe most issues, on which we disagree. But I think that she is a tremendous leader. I’ve watched her up close. She is a leader of historic consequence. She has put this committee together and has demonstrated her commitment to the truth,” she gushed.
In the context of the assault on Paul Pelosi, she also called for an end to the demonization of politicians such as Paul’s spouse, as well as Cheney’s dad, former VP and Iraq war advocate Dick Cheney.
In criticizing conservatives for supposedly mocking what happened to Paul Pelosi in the brutal hammer attack by a suspect who is reportedly an illegal alien, Cheney did not seem to mention the political violence inflicted on conservatives, elected or otherwise.
This portion of the sanctimonious, nearly one-hour discussion starts at about the five-minute mark.
Cheney (RINO-Wyo.) went on to imply, to the surprise of probably no one paying any attention to current events, that she would prefer Democrats from Pelosi on down to retain control of the House after next week’s midterm elections.
“The people who will be running the House of Representatives in a Republican majority will give authority and power to some of the most radical members of Congress, and I don’t think that that’s good for the country,” she claimed in a form of projection.
If Cheney really wanted to get to the bottom of January 6, she could have, for one thing, asked the truth-committed Pelosi why she allegedly denied the Capitol Police chief’s repeated request for National Guard backup when everyone knew a huge protest was coming.

Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman defeated Cheney by a landslide in the August 16 GOP primary in Wyoming. Hageman is essentially a lock in the general election for the at-large House seat.
In her remaining weeks as a congresswoman, Cheney seems unconcerned with representing her actual constituents and instead appears to be auditioning for a cushy gig on CNN, MNSBC, or “The View,” where she can continue to bash former President Trump and members of her own party who support free speech.
A position with a globalist, pro-endless-war think tank is also a possibility.

At the same event, Cheney (who lives mostly in northern Virginia) said that if she was an Ohio voter, she would support Democrat U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan in the U.S. Senate contest rather than the GOP’s populist standard-bearer, J.D. Vance.
Cheney’s anti-endorsement of America First superstar Kari Lake resulted in contributions to the Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate going through the roof.
“Republicans have fared poorly when given the Cheney stamp of approval. Out of the nine other Republicans who joined the Wyoming lawmaker in her vote to impeach President Donald Trump last year, just two remain on the ballot next week. The rest either lost primaries to a Trump-endorsed opponent or abandoned reelection altogether,” The Federalist noted.

President Trump has reportedly evinced a willingness to testify before the J6 committee in response to a subpoena, but only if the proceedings are on live television.
The relevance-seeking Cheney ironically seems to oppose, however, the real-time transparency.
Liz Cheney has previously vowed to do “whatever it takes” to prevent Donald Trump from winning the White House in 2024.
The pro-impeachment politician, with help of the media, may have delusions of running for president herself.
