‘No one wants Joe’: Jill Biden hits the campaign trail while hubby spends relaxing weekend at home

First lady Jill Biden is hoofing it on the campaign trail in two states this weekend after visiting Rhode Island a couple of days ago, all in an effort to shore up desperate Democrats while President Biden kicks back at his Delaware home.

Midterms are looking cataclysmic for Democrats and the president is pretty much AWOL. So, in steps his wife, who many contend is the real power and driving force behind the Biden presidency anyway.

Midterm elections are on Nov. 8, just days away and it’s crunch time. Even former President Obama is out on the trail plugging for Democrats, but Joe Biden is nowhere to be seen these days.

Jill Biden has morphed into a campaign surrogate this election season whether it is because the president is not mentally or physically fit enough to hit the campaign trail, or whether it is because a number of Democrats are trying to distance themselves from him.

The first state that she will visit is New Hampshire, according to the New York Post. Dr. Jill is helping out Sen. Maggie Hassan, a first-term Democrat who is in an incredibly tight race against GOP challenger Don Bolduc.

Hassan defeated Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte in 2016 by a razor-thin 1,000-vote margin. This time around she holds a quickly dwindling 3.4% polling advantage over Bolduc, according to RealClearPolitics.

Bolduc is a retired US Army brigadier general who has been endorsed by former President Trump. He won his primary race after Democrats dumped millions of dollars into it believing it would be easy for Hassan to beat him. Not so much apparently. It was part of a widespread risky and ill-conceived effort to prop up Trump-supported candidates that Democrats deemed unelectable. Except they are now winning and are part of a red tsunami about to sweep Congress.

“New Hampshire Democrats have been in lockstep with the failed Biden agenda that has caused immeasurable suffering for Granite Staters, who are struggling to buy groceries and fill their oil tanks ahead of winter,” RNC Spokesperson Andrew Mahaleris commented on the visit, according to NBC Boston.

Jill Biden then will travel to New York on Sunday where she will make campaign stops in Westchester County, Long Island, and Manhattan, according to the White House.

The First Lady will appear at a Mount Kisco fundraiser for Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, who is the chairman of the House’s Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and whose own re-election effort is tanking. She will also attend a Plainview event for first-time congressional candidate Robert Zimmerman.

GOP gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin is now a real threat to current Governor Kathy Hochul in that state. Many now believe he will actually win and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is campaigning for him in New York this weekend according to The Hill. Democrats are in a panic over it in the deep blue state but there is no word on Jill Biden campaigning for Hochul this weekend.

The visit from the massively popular Florida governor and conservative superstar comes as Zeldin looks like he’s taking the lead in the race. He is a four-term congressman and staunch ally of former President Trump who has pummeled Hochul over the economy and crime.

Zeldin will appear with another prominent Republican, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, on Monday for another get-out-the-vote rally in Westchester, NY.

Meanwhile, the “Weekend at Bernie’s” president is nowhere to be found as his wife carries out his duties.
