Joy Reid once again engaged in deflection while ranting on her show “The ReidOut” Thursday that Republicans and the media are conspiring to “gaslight” women into caring more about inflation and the economy than their right to an abortion.

She seems to believe that the right to kill the unborn is far more important than raging inflation preventing families from filling up their tanks or putting food on the table.
Abortion is a dog that won’t hunt for the Democrats. Polling from RealClearPolitics shows that leftists have failed to take the lead in congressional election races using abortion as a cudgel against voters and conservatives.
Democrats are bummed over the stats. In September, they allegedly had a half-point lead on the generic ballot. But as of Thursday, Republicans had a commanding lead of 3.3 points just 19 days before the midterm elections.
A New York Times/Siena College poll that was released earlier this week also showed Independent women voters have largely sided with Republicans in a massive swing compared to September. The New York Times noted that this is proof the economy is “a far more potent political issue in 2022 than abortion,” even among Democratic voters.
Just because racist reid likes to kill babies, that doesn’t make it more important than the economy and the inflation that is ruining people’s lives. I really don’t understand how she still has a job.

A Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll released to The Hill on Monday found that approximately 74% of voters surveyed named inflation as a “very important” issue for the upcoming election, and 59% said immigration was also “very important.”
The same poll found that likely voters ranked abortion as the fourth most important issue.
Reid dripped venom as she claimed that the Republican resurgence was because the GOP and the beltway media have joined forces in convincing women that the price of a gallon of milk is more important than bodily autonomy.
“The midterm election is now less than three weeks away, and in the final stretch, I have noticed and I don’t know if you have noticed, frankly, this gaslighting of women voters. This message that says, you don’t really care about your right to control your own bodies, dears. It’s the economy, stupid,” she mocked, showing her dejection and the realization that Democrats face a righteous pummeling at the polls.
I don’t understand how something that should be “safe, legal, and rare” is now more important than food, transportation, and shelter. 🤔

“Republicans certainly want you to think about that and the beltway media is helping push that narrative with headlines touting recent polls some with tiny sample sizes, suggesting Republicans are surging. The red wave is back. We can go back to the pre-Dobbs narrative because the economy is the most important issue,” she charged.
Reid went on to show a number of polls, doom-trolling the Democrats, claiming that the media and Republicans are ready to move backward following the Supreme Court overturning the landmark abortion case returning the power of choice to the individual states to determine laws on killing the unborn.
“I mean, this may be news to Republicans and Fox News reporters,” she spewed. “But women are part of the economy. Abortion is an economic issue.”
Before the commercial break, she snarked, “The Republican effort to gaslight women voters. You don’t really care about abortion. All you care about is inflation. Got to feed your hubby and kids we’re going to make you have, right, gals? But guess what, reproductive rights are an economic issue.”
I hope The DNC and MSM keep pushing this narrative that abortion is most important especially over feeding clothing and educationing themselves and families.

Reid continued her attack while speaking with North Carolina Democratic Senate candidate Cheri Beasley.
“I do feel gaslit at this point that you have a media narrative that says that women don’t really care about abortion. Women don’t really mind if the states control their bodies. They just care about the price of milk. Is that what you’re experiencing when you’re talking to women across North Carolina?” Reid asked her.
“No, women care about freedom,” Beasley replied. “And they are deeply angry and fearful about what they see on this national narrative.”
