Texas will continue sending buses of illegal aliens to Democrat-controlled, sanctuary cities despite what various virtue-signaling “whiny babies” have to say about it.
Given that the Biden administration has abdicated its constitutional duty to secure the southern border, the Lone Star State also intends to craft legislation that will hopefully pass muster at the U.S. Supreme Court to respond to the “invasion.”

That appeared to be theme from Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick on “Fox & Friends” on Saturday morning during which he also observed that the border is secure — but only on the other side totally controlled by the cartels.
As president of the Texas senate, which goes back into session in January, Patrick has a lot of influence on which bills move through the chamber.
So far, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has sent approximately 8,000 undocumented migrants to Washington, D.C., and about 2,500 to New York City, which has prompted an outcry from the far-left mayors of both cities.
Patrick implied that other blue cities that tout their status as sanctuaries for illegal immigration could be on the travel itinerary soon.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) prompted a further liberal meltdown by flying just 50 migrants to the Martha’s Vineyard — a wealthy enclave where Obama owns a huge mansion — who were quickly relocated by the state National Guard.
In irony that is apparently lost on the hypocritical left, the open-borders, catch-and-release, deportation-averse Biden administration has been routinely transporting migrants all around the country, including via secret flights in the middle of the night.

“What a bunch of elitist hypocrites they are,” Patrick declared about the not-in-my-backyard residents of the upscale, liberal Massachusetts island, as well as diversity-celebrating progressives generally, including those in Hollywood.
“Let them own what they support…Let them understand what our people are dealing with, especially in our border towns, where we are overrun every day,” he declared in the interview embedded here in two parts that you can review in its entirety and draw your own conclusions.
Millions of undocumented persons have poured across the border into Texas and other border states since President Biden took office, creating a humanitarian, law enforcement, national security, social services, and public health crisis in the region, and by extension, in the interior of America.
Patrick hinted to the Fox News hosts that what Abbott is implementing what some might consider a demonstration project.
“The reason we’re sending the buses is we do want to send a message, and hopefully these blue Democrats in these cities, and these governors in these blue states, will put enough pressure on the president to say ‘Mr. President, you’re obviously wrong. The border is not secure, and you need to help us stop this.'”
Patrick implied that something along the lines of tough love is necessary to resolve the crisis.
“We have been in a constant state of emergency because we have criminals crossing the border, terrorists crossing the border, and just thousands of people coming into our state every day…I have no sympathy for these elitist leftists, liberal Democrats…until they feel the same pain Texans are feeling, until they have to deal with the same things we’re dealing with, it’s not until then that they’ll put pressure on their senators, and their congressmen, in the Democrat states to something about it. This has to end.”
He also referenced the massive amount of deadly fentanyl that smugglers are bringing in to the country.
“The only three people on the planet that think [the border is] secure are the president, the vice president, and the secretary of homeland security –and the mouthpiece for all of them that shows up at the White House press briefings every day.”
When co-host Will Cain asked if the proposed legislation would give Texas law enforcement to power of deportation, Lt. Gov. Patrick suggested that it would be premature to discuss the details of an as-yet unwritten bill on national television, and that the measure will be crafted with the assistance of top legal scholars so that it is constitutional.
“Well, right now, that’s three months away, so let us write the bill, but let me assure you this: That we will write strong legislation that makes sure — there’s no question — that we have a right to protect our citizens…I’m serious about this. The legislators are serious about this. The people of Texas are serious about it. The other thing I’d want to do, we’re spending, by the way, to put this in perspective to all these whiny babies up in these blue states, ‘Oh, this is such a crisis.’ We normally spend $400 million a year on border security.”

“We’re spending over $4 billion of Texas taxpayer money, money we could spend on healthcare, on education, on more roads, whatever it might be, $4 billion a year. We have our National Guard there on the border. This is a financial burden on us. But most importantly, it’s an invasion of our state. I’ve said it for a long time…”
Patrick also floated the idea of hiring Border Patrol agents en masse as part of a potential lateral transfer to new Texas border guard agency so they are no longer under the thumb of the incumbent POTUS. “The Border Patrol agents are heroes in my book. They hate working for this guy. I think they’d love working for Texas…”
He also claimed that the Founding Fathers never could have envisioned a U.S. president who was unwilling to defend the country’s borders.
“They’ve been dumping people in America for a long time, a long time,” Patrick said of the Biden administration, and it’s time for the regime to stop messing with Texas.
“And now Texas is saying, ‘we’re fighting back. We’re gonna send them to your neighborhood, and we’re gonna keep those buses coming until finally this administration wakes up.’ And, we’ll pass legislation next session that will hopefully get us to the Supreme Court, where this Supreme Court can rule that Texas and everyone else has a right to protect their citizens, and then we can do it. We’re doing the best we can now under tough circumstances.” he concluded.
