More busses of illegals arrive at VP Kamala Harris’ residence and NYC on Saturday

Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) has adopted an “if at first, you don’t succeed” policy when it comes to driving home the severity of the border crisis to the Democrats and on Saturday, that meant at least one more busload of illegal immigrants being delivered to Washington, D.C. to further debunk any reported claim that the “border is secure.”

Since April, Abbott has continued the direct approach of bringing the ever-worsening border crisis directly to progressive proponents of sanctuary cities denying the sovereignty of America is being violated by thousands on a daily basis. Thursday, he zeroed in on appointed border czar Vice President Kamala Harris by turning her address into a bus stop in furtherance of Operation Lone Star, and Saturday morning another delivery was dropped off.

Alexandria Hoff reported for Fox News from the vice president’s residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. early Saturday that at least one bus containing approximately 50 men, women and children had arrived and that it was believed another might arrive before the end of the day.

If so, they would be the third and fourth buses sending a direct message to Harris outside her home that the problem at the U.S.-Mexico border cannot be readily dismissed with talking points, no matter how much help corporate media is willing to provide.

On Sunday, an interview where Harris had dubiously claimed that the “border is secure” premiered on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and, since then, border town residents have summarily smacked that notion down with basic facts highlighting the exponential increase in illegal immigrants traveling to their area and the negative impact to safety and the economy that has come with them.

As one Eagle Pass, Texas resident had stated, she had to start teaching her children to use weapons for self-defense, “It’s something that has had to be done because we don’t know what can happen. We don’t know these people or where they come from.”

Hoff went on to report for Fox News that the migrants, though Harris has not commented on the illegals being sent to her home, the federal government seemed prepared for their arrival Saturday as compared to the surprise Thursday.

“I think what was really striking is we saw people get off the bus, you know, curious, looking around–they’ve driven all night presumably–and they are immediately whisked away. I mean rushed off,” she reported. “We had aid workers out here today which was a little different than on Thursday, but there were aid workers out here and they were really kind of sheltered from the cameras as much as they could be by the aid workers and they were taken down the road here. I was told earlier…that they’re being taken to a secure location, but we don’t know then if people were getting into cars or buses,…or where they’re going after that.”

Meanwhile, with only a few thousand illegal immigrants being sent to the nation’s capital thus far, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser remained adamant Friday that they were ill-equipped to handle a fraction of the influx that Texas experiences daily and that the problem should be left for Texas to have to contend with.

“We’re not a border town,” Bowser lamented. “We don’t have an infrastructure to handle this type of and level of immigration to our city … We’re not Texas.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton disabused Bowser of this narrative Friday night on “Hannity” when we lauded Abbott and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) for their efforts to force a response from President Joe Biden’s administration to the crisis.

“It’s amazing, they’ve done an amazing job. They’ve had to deal with this crisis over the last two years. And I love that they’re highlighting the hypocrisy,” Paxton said before going on. “They’re dealing with a few hundred, maybe a thousand, you said Martha’s Vineyard 50. We deal with 5,000 a day, and we’ve been dealing with this for almost two years. And as Senator Cruz talked about, Del Rio, a town of 36,000, had 50 percent more people show up at their door, and we had to deal with it. There was no complaining by the liberal elite. There was no complaining by [California Gov.] Gavin Newsom. We had to deal with it, and we had no help.”
