Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, a stenographer for the Biden administration and the Democrat-media complex, managed to smear the Make America Great Again coalition and Christianity in a mere 500-or-so word column.
Rubin, who infamously seemed to flip-flop on her conservative principles after Donald Trump entered politics, claimed in the opinion essay — without evidence — that “the MAGA movement venerates the Confederacy,” and that “If left undisturbed, the extreme White Christian nationalism of today will inevitably lead to violence, cruelty and lawlessness.”
“No, the MAGA movement isn’t advocating for slavery. But it does seek to rewrite the history of race through its fraudulent attack on ‘critical race theory,’ just as Jim Crow defenders sought to refashion the Civil War by erecting monuments to traitorous secessionists. The aim is the same: to exonerate Whites and to recast them as noble victims,” she added, in part.
In addition to playing the race and religion cards, Rubin fell back on the tired, left-wing protecting democracy trope that Democrats, in an extreme form of projection, started rolling out against the GOP in advance of the November midterm elections.
“Defenders of democracy have a hard task in face of the constant onslaught of fear-mongering, propaganda, phony history and dishonest right-wing media that shields its viewers and readers from disagreeable facts,” she asserted.

With nearly 75 million votes in the 2020 election, MAGA is hardly a fringe movement.
A lot could be said, moreover, in response to Rubin’s revisionism. For one thing, she might want to brush up on history because Democrats implemented the segregationist Jim Crow laws.
And for another, is Christian nationalism responsible for the extreme violence that is currently running rampant in America’s Democrat-controlled, lawless cities (or the riots during the 2020 “summer of love”)?
It’s ironic perhaps that anti-free-speech, authoritarian Democrats and their corporate media apologists continue to claim that democracy is in peril, in the same way that misinformers themselves have mourned misinformation or those who champion inclusion actually engage in exclusion or even bigotry.

Organized religion, like any organization, has issues. Christianity in America, however, has given a safe harbor to millions of people from all backgrounds fleeing oppression.
The free exercise of religion is protected under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
As a footnote, Rubin may have also overlooked that President Biden (who has a sketchy track record as a U.S. senator in the context of race-relations issues) and Hillary Clinton, were apparently pals with Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WVa.), a past leader of a local KKK chapter, who filibustered the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964.
In general, various pundits and the outlets for which they work for have opportunistically monetized Trump derangement syndrome since 2016 or so.
Here is some of the reactions on Twitter to Rubin’s journalism:
If this extreme white Christian nationalism continues, someone is going to start inviting draq queens to dance for first graders or using phony asylum seekers as a ruse to import fentanyl by the truck load. Someone might even shower with his daughter.

GP I’ll take my chances with that rather than the current godless woke communism the Left (and Ms. Rubin) loves so dearly.
We’ve all seen how that ends.
Hint: It ends will millions of corpses and minimal freedom. https://t.co/A1Cv0xw00B

This insistence of the widespread existence of white nationalism is especially scary, because socialists progressives and marxist groups actually believe it. The desperately need a dragon to slay and in their righteous zeal, could end up attacking and vilifying ordinary people.

Just to be clear…when they say “MAGA,” what they really mean is all Christians.
Everyone gets that by now, right? https://t.co/iPz8RTOP2p

As a white, Christian, nationalist, I have no desire to commit violence, cruelty or lawlessness. What you are doing is providing fake news & inciting hatred of me & others.

Protests Democrats actively supported over the summer of 2020 resulted in:
— More than $2 billion in damages to businesses and homes (making them the most destructive riots in US history)
— 14,000 arrests
— 20+ deaths
— 12 police officers shot pic.twitter.com/tEufOKKPAV— Jim (@JimmyMonoshiri) September 8, 2022
The Christian demographic is the one most likely to follow the law. They get mocked but they’re the kind of folks you want living next door to you.
But by all means, please keep bringing this dishonesty. You’re only helping build that red wave.
