Part of the appeal that many hold for former President Donald Trump comes from his ability to cut through political correctness and call things as he sees them.
On Saturday, he once again demonstrated this knack at his first “Save America” rally since his Florida home was raided by the FBI with a direct response to President Joe Biden’s divisive Independence Hall address declaring MAGA Republicans a threat to the nation by calling Biden the “enemy of the state.”
With campaigns for the midterms heating up, Trump made his way to Wilkes-Barre, PA to stump for Republican gubernatorial candidate state Sen. Doug Mastriano and Senate hopeful Dr. Mehmet Oz before an energized crowd at Mohegan Sun Arena. Touching on a number of issues, the president worked his way to Biden’s menacingly-lit speech from Philadelphia Thursday where the current executive maligned wide swaths of the citizenry with “hatred and anger,” as his predecessor characterized the speech.
“This week, Joe Biden came to Philadelphia, PA to give the most vicious, hateful, and divisive speech ever delivered by an American president,” Trump recapped, “vilifying 75 million citizens, plus another probably 75 to 150 if we want to be accurate about it, as threats to democracy and enemies of the state. You’re all enemies of the state,” he noted to the crowd, referencing Biden’s assertion that “MAGA Republicans are a threat to the very soul of this country.”

“He’s an enemy of the state, if you want to know the truth,” Trump fired back. “The enemy of the state is him and the group that controls him.”
To emphasize the widely considered view that Biden is neither in full control of his faculties nor the decision making process at the White House, his predecessor drew attention to Friday’s collaborative efforts to downplay the vitriol and, in the case of a suspected dementia-driven lapse, to forget it happened in the first place.
“I think Philadelphia was a great choice to make this speech of hatred and anger–his speech was hatred and anger–by the way the next morning he forgot what he said,” Trump said before putting on a mocking tone and adding, “Oh I didn’t think I said that, did I?”
As previously reported, when pressed by Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy on whether he considers “all Trump supporters to be a threat to the country?” Biden replied in direct contradiction to his speech the night prior by saying in part, “I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat to the country.”

Trump also tackled the horrendous optics of the speech to land the message that, after nearly 50 years in Washington, D.C., Biden was the embodiment of the swamp that had been targeted for draining, “How’d you like that red lighting behind him like the devil?”
It was then that the former commander-in-chief highlighted how fitting it was for Biden to speak at the birthplace of the republic after what Democrat policies had done to devastate the city of brotherly love.
“But Philadelphia was a great choice because the city is being devastated under Democrat rule, hate to tell ya,” Trump said. “We love Pennsylvania. I went to school in Philadelphia. What’s happening to Philadelphia?”
“Fourteen people were shot last weekend,” Trump noted, landing his take on who was to blame for the woes facing America.
