‘We imagined it’: WaPo dragged for implying Biden calling MAGA GOP a ‘threat’ wasn’t an attack

President Joe Biden’s shameful attack on tens of millions of Americans didn’t go over as intended and the regime’s dutiful spinmeisters at The Washington Post quickly moved to give him cover by gaslighting readers that he didn’t really say what he did, instead accusing those who were effectively smeared as enemies of the state of being overly sensitive and “centered in victimhood.”

On Thursday night, the nation’s 46th president went to depths that not one of his predecessors have sunk to when he stood in front of a podium in front of an eerie blood-red background with two U.S. Marines standing behind him and inveighed against his top political opponent and those who support him, making it clear that they are the enemy within as far as the U.S. government which he heads up is concerned.

Images of Biden’s dangerous and divisive speech flooded social media where they drew comparisons to some of history’s worst totalitarians who delivered their words of hate in similar manner and settings, and by Friday morning, the old demagogue himself backed off, denying that he sees Trump voters as a threat to the country.

But according to WaPo columnist Philip Bump, “A Trump-led movement centered in victimhood sees Biden’s speech as an attack.”

“What happened in the aftermath of the speech was entirely predictable: Republicans in media and politics collapsed Biden’s intonations about ‘MAGA Republicans’ into ‘Republicans’ more broadly and, from there, to ‘half the country.’ Biden’s demand that the country address those who ‘promote authoritarian leaders’ and ‘fan the flames of political violence’ became a rote he’s attacking all of us!” Bump wrote in his “analysis” of the unprecedented declaration of war on tens of millions of Americans and its immediate aftermath.

After suggesting that Trump, as well as a list of other conservatives including Tucker Carlson, Kellyanne Conway and Sen. Josh Hawley, are hysterics who see phantoms of fascism in Biden’s words and that readers shouldn’t believe their own lying eyes and ears, he makes excuses for the deeply unpopular and increasingly unlikeable leader.

“Biden’s bind is illustrated. It would be challenging for any American president in this moment to call out elements of the opposition that explicitly reject democracy without triggering a polarized response. But when those elements also feed off the perception that their side is under attack?” Bump wrote. “No matter what Biden said Thursday night about the threat to democracy, the response would have been the same. That response is central to the threat Biden was describing.”

Twitter users weren’t buying the malarkey that Bump was selling and slammed his gaslighting.

The spirit of Nazi Germany’s notorious minister of propaganda Joseph Goebbels runs strong at The Washington Post.

As for Biden, he has been sounding more and more like Goebbels’ old boss and no amount of gaslighting is going to put the toothpaste back into the tube of an American president who, while not yet labeling his political enemies as being subhuman, has certainly laid the groundwork for their persecution by a rogue government and its violent left-wing shock troops who serve as street muscle for the Democratic Party.
