Kamala Harris offers her take on DoJ after raid and now she thinks it’s bad to doubt law enforcement

Vice President Kamala Harris voiced her “full confidence” in the DOJ following the thuggish raid at Mar-a-Lago, and still had enough hubris left over to deliver a word salad on equity in Oakland, California.

Harris’ “full defense” of the Department of Justice slapping former President Trump with a search warrant while he was out of town so they could toss his home in Florida and paw through his wife’s unmentionables on a blatant fishing expedition is rich in the extreme.

“Well, as a former prosecutor, I will tell you, I don’t speak about anybody else’s case, but I have full confidence that the Department of Justice will do with the facts and the law requires,” the vice president blathered in response to a reporter’s question on the matter.

“And any so-called leader who engages in rhetoric that in any way suggests that law enforcement should be exposed to that kind of danger is irresponsible and results in dangerous activities,” she righteously proclaimed.

“You know, our law enforcement. Professionals. And in this case, we’re talking about our federal law enforcement agencies. They do very important work. And from the moment they walk out the door of their home until they go back in, their families, pray for their safety and well-being. And I think it’s just highly irresponsible of anyone who calls themselves a leader and certainly anyone who represents the United States of America to engage in rhetoric for the sake of some political objective that can result in harm to law enforcement officers and agents,” Harris asserted, echoing a previous statement from Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Her defense of the indefensible was only outdone by yet another mind-numbingly incomprehensible word salad that Harris gave concerning “equity as a concept.”

“This work, of course, is grounded in the concept of equity, which we all know and understand equity is — it’s about understanding that the reality is not everybody starts out on the same base. So, when we talk about equality — well, that’s a good goal. But let us not presume that because everyone should be treated equal, that they start out on equal footing,” Harris stated in her remarks on equity.

“Equity as a concept says recognize that everyone has the same capacity, but in order for them to have equal opportunity to reach that capacity, well, we must pay attention to this issue of equity,” the vice president spewed as she was announcing the launch of a new $50 million college scholarship fund for Oakland-born, lower-income students promoted by the local nonprofit Oakland Promise.

“From birth, thousands of children in this city will be given a nest egg, and as they grow, so will that investment,” Harris vowed while appearing alongside Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and other elected leaders in downtown Oakland. “When they turn 18, this will be a down payment on their education and their future.”

The new fund, which is called the Oakland Generation Fund, will provide a $500 college savings accounts for children born in Oakland to low-income families. It will also fund scholarships of $1,000 per year for low-income students in Oakland public schools who pursue a two- or four-year college degree or trade certificate. Oakland Promise expects around 30,000 students will receive the money by 2035, according to the East Bay Times.
