White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and reporters laughed Friday over former Trump strategist Steve Bannon being found guilty of contempt of Congress after she was asked to comment on the development.
Jean-Pierre was briefing reporters during a White House press gaggle when the news broke that Bannon had been convicted on two counts of contempt of Congress. He will be sentenced on Oct. 21, for daring to defy the Jan. 6 inquisition.
The crack over Biden came as the press secretary and White House COVID coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha took questions concerning President Biden’s condition after contracting the virus.
The briefing primarily fixated on Biden’s health but leave it to White House reporters to always make time to take a poke at anyone connected to former President Trump.
Steve Bannon is the latest in a long line of politically motivated convictions under the Biden Regime.
They know Steve is a prominent leader in our movement and are trying to silence him by any means.

NBC News White House correspondent Peter Alexander stepped up to the plate and attempted to address the conviction. Playboy White House correspondent Brian Karem then made a crack about it and Jean-Pierre asked him to repeat his snark as everyone inappropriately laughed over the persecution of Bannon.
“Thanks. Did you have any reaction to the Steve Bannon case? I know it’s over, and I know, obviously…” Alexander began.
Karem then made an inaudible crack about Bannon which drew laughter from his fellow reporters and the press secretary.
“What did you say? What was your last part? I missed the joke,” Jean-Pierre asked laughing.
“Well, I was just saying we could tell you wanted to address that. (Inaudible.) Yeah,” he quipped.
The DOJ didn't indict Eric Holder when he ignored a congressional subpoena, but did to Steve Bannon. His real crime is that he consistently calls out the globalization that has hollowed out American industry and attacked American culture. Nancy Pelosi is playing with fire here.

“Oh. Oh. So, look, I’m not going to comment specifically on that case. But, obviously, everyone should cooperate with the January 6 Committee. Our administration has made very clear this president finds what the Select Committee is doing — the January 6 Committee is doing very important, and people should be listening and learning from what happened on that very dark day,” she said while smiling and suppressing laughter.
“And this is a very important committee where they’re working to get to the bottom of what happened on that day. It was an attack not just on our democracy, but also an attack on our law enforcement,” she intoned. “And, again, I’m not going to comment on that specifically. But, yes, people should obviously — should cooperate with the committee.”
Steve Bannon, 68, was convicted for refusing to testify and provide documents to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. It took just three hours for a jury to convict him.
He is free pending trial and will remain so as he awaits sentencing. Bannon faces up to two years in prison on the two misdemeanor charges.

Outside the courthouse, following the verdicts, Bannon and his attorneys indicated they plan to appeal.
“We respect their decision,” Bannon commented, according to Politico. “We may have lost the battle here today, but we’re not going to lose this war.”
“This is round one, that’s what happened. This is a bulletproof appeal,” defense lawyer David Schoen proclaimed.
