‘Serve it up!’ Defiant Bannon taunts J6 committee, vows to go ‘medieval on these people’

A defiant Steve Bannon was loaded for bear, delivering fiery remarks after he reversed course on providing testimony to the Liz Cheney-Nancy Pelosi January 6 kangaroo court, daring the committee to allow him to testify in public and vowing to go “medieval” on the panel if given the opportunity.

During the latest edition of his “War Room” podcast, the former White House chief strategist whose trial for contempt of Congress is set to begin next week, dared the committee to take up his challenge, potentially setting up the first must-see television performance of the ongoing Soviet-style show trial of former President Trump and his associates by Pelosi’s stacked board of vicious Trump haters.

“Pray for our enemies, okay? Pray because we’re going medieval on these people. We’re going to savage our enemies,” Bannon said.

“So pray for them. That’s who needs prayers. Not MAGA, not War Room, and certainly not Steven K. Bannon,” he added, “but I’ll take everything I can get.”

Bannon then taunted the committee, “But put a head in the cap table, put our enemies in front of me, because that’s who’s really going to need prayers. Okay, cause we’re going medieval. Okay. And we’ll see about this committee what happens this afternoon,” noting that the tribunal’s latest hearing would be taking place Tuesday afternoon, “but hey, my offer’s out there.”

“Here’s what I need,” he continued. “Give me a date, a time, a room number, a microphone, and a Holy Bible that I can take the oath on.”

“BOOM! Deliver that and we’ll see how good you are little Jamie Raskin and Liz Cheney and all of it – serve it up!” Bannon said.

“You got my, here’s my request date, time, room number, microphone that works and in a Holy Bible to take the oath on,” he repeated. “Okay, show me what got, taking these interviews and cutting them up. You think? Come on, you think. Hey, as Trump says, no games, we’re not playing games.”

Bannon’s words could be interpreted as goading the committee into a prime-time showdown for all the marbles, something that they are highly unlikely to agree to considering their tightly controlled and choreographed proceedings –  they even brought in a veteran television producer to serve as an adviser – although it would be a ratings bonanza.

Despite being unwilling to cooperate, Bannon did an unexpected U-turn when he agreed to testify, although it didn’t convince a judge to delay his contempt trial.

J6 committee Democrat and impeachment manager Rep. Zoe Lofgren said on CNN this Sunday that Bannon’s testimony probably wouldn’t be televised.

The 68-year-old former US Navy officer and Breitbart News executive chairman who is loathed by leftists was the victim of a nasty prank last week when he was “swatted,” leading to his home in Washington D.C. being swarmed by heavily-armed, militarized police after a false report that there was a shooter at the residence.

Bannon didn’t express frustration with the cops, saying that “The police were terrific” while telling Breitbart in a statement, “Honey badger don’t give a f**k,” with his trademark feistiness.
