President Joe Biden was recorded taking a tumble off his bike Saturday morning while out for a ride with first lady Jill Biden near their home in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
A crowd of onlookers that included reporters was watching as the president and his entourage approached a turn along their path when Biden broke from the pack to engage the crowd.
As the first lady rode on, the president could be seen coming to a full stop where, after placing one foot on the ground, he appeared to lose his balance before going down and landing on his right shoulder.
“I’m good,” the president insisted after members of the United States Secret Service rushed to the aid of the 79-year-old commander-in-chief. The bicycle was moved out of the way before Biden was helped to his feet.
He explained to reporters, “I got my foot caught up.”

This ride turned out to be a bit more eventful than expected. @POTUS fell off his bike — he said he got his foot caught — but quickly got up and chatted with the pool and Delaware bystanders. He said he will talk to Xi soon and is in the process of making up his mind on tariffs. pic.twitter.com/PDcHJmCxsC

Following the fall, the president fielded a few questions and explained he would be having a conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the near future. As Jenny Leonard from Bloomberg News described, “He said he will talk to Xi soon and is in the process of making up his mind on tariffs.”
Some time after the incident occurred, a White House official issued a statement that corroborated the president’s explanation of his foot being stuck in the bike’s toe cage.

“As the President said, his foot got caught on the pedal while dismounting and he is fine,” the statement detailed. “No medical attention is needed. The President looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family.”

As previously reported, the president and first lady were spending the weekend in Delaware as part of a celebration of their 45th wedding anniversary and for Father’s Day. During a previous discussion with reporters, Biden had reiterated his position that he was not to blame for the current economic woes stating, “Isn’t it kind of interesting? If it’s my fault, why is it the case in every other major industrial country in the world that inflation is higher? You ask yourself that? I’m not trying to be a wise guy.”
In response to the president’s well-established finger-pointing, particularly to Russian President Vladimir Putin for whom he has dubbed spiking gas prices “Putin’s price hike,” some reacted to Biden’s fall wondering if he would lay the blame on the foreign leader for that as well.

As would be expected, a partisan debate was sparked by the incident as people argued over the disparate treatment of political figures, such as former President Donald Trump, by corporate media.
Only in America regardless of the side would people take pleasure in seeing this happen to their President.

Twisted? Bro y’all wanted to impeach the last guy over how he drank water obviously we are going to make fun of him for not knowing how to ride a bike

Others took a more sensible approach to differing opinions on seeing the president fall during his bike ride proving that, after it was reported the president was unharmed, the incident could be regarded as both concerning and amusing without devolving into an argument.
Like all jokes aside and no grifting.
he is 79 and that fall could be dangerous to him.— Sperit (@SperitB) June 18, 2022
Instead of defending Biden and then deflected to trump for some reason you could have a chuckle and move on. It’s really not a big deal that he fell but it’s going to get talked about today.
