Greenwald points to MSNBC’s Joy Reid in response to arrest of leftist bent on killing Justice Kavanaugh

Journalist Glenn Greenwald bluntly accused MSNBC host Joy Reid of inciting violence after an armed, unhinged man was arrested outside Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s Maryland home.

“He was angry about the Court’s leaked ruling in Roe and the lack of gun control, and reportedly sought to kill Justice Kavanaugh in response. It’s vital that we know which cable hosts he likes and which magazines he reads so we know who radicalized him and is to blame for this,” Greenwald tweeted.

“We don’t yet know if this would-be Kavanaugh murderer watches Joy Reid’s show — chances are very high he didn’t since virtually nobody does — but she regularly calls the Justice a Christian nationalist who favors theocracy. Did this inspire violence?” he pointedly asked.

The man was armed with a gun and a knife as well as pepper spray according to The Washington Post. He was taken into custody Wednesday morning at approximately 1:50 near Kavanaugh’s home. The man had made death threats against the Justice and evidently fully intended to kill him. He was reportedly from out of state and took a taxi to Kavanaugh’s home.

“The man, described as being from California and in his mid-20s, was taken into custody by police after telling officers he wanted to kill the justice, according to people familiar with the investigation,” the Washington Post reported. “He apparently did not make it onto Kavanaugh’s property in Montgomery County but was stopped on a nearby street and was found to be carrying at least one weapon and burglary tools, these people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.”

The MSNBC protagonist’s timing was epic. The same day that Kavanaugh’s life was threatened by a radicalized pro-abortion leftist, Reid also tweeted, “The SCOTUS Christian Nationalists strike again…”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has also decried the “reckless” and “apocalyptic” rhetoric from those criticizing the Supreme Court for potentially overturning the landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade after an opinion by Justice Samuel Alito was leaked to the media.

He also accused Democrats of blocking a bill that would provide police security to the immediate families of Supreme Court Justices.

“This is exactly, exactly the kind of event that many feared that the terrible breach of the court’s rules and norms could fuel. This is exactly the kind of event that many worried the unhinged, reckless, apocalyptic rhetoric from prominent figures toward the court going back many months and especially in recent weeks could make more likely,” McConnell stated.

Leftists such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) have been threatening Kavanaugh ever since he was nominated to the Supreme Court by then-President Donald Trump.

Conservatives are warning that the hatred on the left is now out of control:
